  • it's true that days are numbers? definetely it's very true and see by yourself once u wanna count them as numbers dates also minutes hours and seconds we could say the numbers orally and write them all along the ways so that regards to all

  • She has a name. Further

  • I often wonder where all my friends I have been lucky to know through this travelling life of mine, have gone. There is something in us that brings like people together. And apart. On we go and then we meet again, or not? Are we sometimes as close as two comments side by side on APP songs on Youtube, and don't know it as we present ourselves behind our screen names? Where are you all man. Kerry Emmerson New Zealander livin in California..

  • @utuberine

Hey amigo, you have the right attitude. Pleasure to meet you and keep on keeping on

  • Beautiful song, beautiful words, beautiful pictures. Thanks for posting. Alot of Alan Parsons work can touch you deeply like this one.

  • I'm 56 years old and still I don't know what I want to do with my life.....I'm just enjoying the journey....wherever it takes me. I know one thing, Music takes me to places that reality can't. Listening to songs like this make me gratefull for living through the 70s and 80s.

  • @kevlength mee too that's life !! i andersstand you same for me!!

  • My favorite song ever

  • Rest in Peace, Eric . . . I have no idea who you were, but you must have been pretty awesome to inspire such a beautiful video.

  • I guess this is one of my favorite songs . XD

  • one of my favorite songs. I need to build a sailboat too. I've have a few over the years and they have given me so much peace. Alan knows what soothes our spirits, what gives us strength, and what keeps us going for another day. The Alan Parsons Project is years ahead of its time. The songs, lyrics...they are deeper than we know, we merely need to absorb them and apply them-helluva guide for life I think...may be twisted but those of you who have followed them for years know what I mean.

  • this would be the perfect 'credits' song for Into The Wild!

  • this is simply beautiful

  • Excellent Job Woolfson333 , thanks so much for having posted it !

  • when i was 14-21 i wanted to travel the world in a yacht with 2 other companions. i am not rich so this wasn't a possibility thanks for the possibility to dream again, even if ludicrous dreams

  • @frodobaggins8 Never stop dreaming Bro. Wherever you go, take this music with you.

  • @frodobaggins8 I built mine for almost nothing. All ther wood and hardware, including mast and sails, are all from boats people dumped in the tidal zones around here, and with a bit, no, a lot, of mud and sweat I reclaimed every piece of wood in her. All I pay for is epoxy and some paint, the odd fastener, and the beer.

  • @utuberine ...fair skies and soft winds to you, travel safe.

  • excellent song

It is a pretty tune. The melody and the arrangement are the highest.

  • How did I miss this song after all these years? Perhaps I didn't but could not hear it. It is about me. Damn it, how did Alan know about me here and now, then? I'm 48, I have almost finished building my sailboat,(looking for a name for her), and I don't know where I am going .Never have, yet I am still here. Another time, and place, but still here.

  • @utuberine listen yo styx come sail away after this...lol....I hope your boat takes you to where you need to be {:D

  • @geeepat lolz :P

  • @utuberine Have you decided upon a name yet?

    Some ideas:

My boat, Days are Numbers, Here I am, Where, Wherever, There, There You Are, The Present, The Next 48

When did this album come out? I've never heard of it. Is it the APP or just AP?

  • @Baritone45

This is from the Album 'Vulture Culture, it's coming out in 1985.

  • @Steph5han it CAME OUT in 1985

  • @Baritone45 No I am still in a state of unnamedness. Perhaps Endeavour. After Captain Cooks ship. Or another favourite is Further, after Ken Keseys bus, Further, that cruised across America with the Merry Pranksters on an acid testing experimental extrvaganza in the 60s

  • @utuberine "Traveller" would be a good name for your craft. Fair winds and a following sea mate...

  • @unclebob100 It certainly would. I'd have used it had I seen your suggestion beforehand. Man it was staring me in the face too.

  • red haired woman email me please!

  • The guy is a genius. I wonder if many people know how popular he is throughout the world. He appears in just about every country to sellout crowds. From "Tales" to "Path, all fourteen albums are of the highest quality. Alan, I hope you are working on the next one. I wish everyone could catch him in concert.

  • Alan Parsons Project isn't doing anymore music. Eric Woolfson, the vocals and main inspiration of the group, has passed.

It's his time to be the traveler, wherever he may go. :)

  • Yes, Eric HAS passed, BUT Alan has done his last 4 albums WITHOUT Eric. He is still performing to very large audiences with his Alan Parsons Live band that includes, John Montagna, Steve Murphy, P.J. Olson, Godfrey Townsend, and Manny Forcanszo. The have ALL ages in the crowd and by the time they do "Sirius", the place is going wild. I would recommend you go to his web site and you will see he is doing a tour in Russia in the near future.

  • Alan Parsons Band is currently touring, however.

  • Well don't forget to give a good chuck of that credit to the late Eric Woolfson.

  • Who said anything about forgetting Eric Woolfson? If you are offended by what was posted, that is your problem. Get over it.

  • Where did I say I was offended? You sound like someone who masturbates to old APP album covers?

  • @burnabybrent Hey come on friends. There is no need to taint this work with comments like this. Sometimes our egos are put before all else and it is difficult to overcome. I know, I am guilty of similar. But I can always, TRY.

  • Those were the times of great music.

    Peace.

  • Fidel 1320

Que elegante, poético y emocionante comentario.

Ojalá que el tampoco te deje más.

  • Everyone of us is a traveller in the world, that always is leaving the own past and beginning the own future... living the own present !.

Happy new year to everybody !

  • chan,,chan

  • Story of my life

Aways looking for something new - need to settle down eventually with the full CD collection

  • this song reminds me of my own life. What a great song.

  • My favorite song on the Vulture Culture album. Thanks!

  • a great song! xD

  • "The traveller in me is close behind." Another masterpiece that once again proves it -- pop matters. This has been true since the Beatles, why don't some people still get it?

  • I love APP, and this is a favorite. I've got all their original albums/cds, and there are many favorites! I can apply APP's music and lyrics to my own, personal situations, both, directly and ironically, allowing me to "escape" into my own little world. It's wonderful, timeless material, and it's great to see and hear it on youtube. Thanks! :-)

  • I love many APP songs, but this just might be their best.

  • I agree - always loved this song - nice vid too, better than mine!

  • I like this song, I've been travelling all my life. The greatness of The Alan Parsons Project is that you find so many beautiful lyrics, so many great singers and such a wonderful music!

  • very cool video to match a great song. thanks for posting it.

  • Great song.

  • That,s the truth...

    Day are numbers..nothing else

  • you're so right!

  • Yeah!!!

  • @woolfson333 So beautiful. Thanks for bringing it up. You made my day

  • Hmm, posted by woolfson333. I wonder if that's referring to Eric Woolfson (Singer/songwriter/partner with the Alan Parsons project)

  • Nice song and images!

  • ''exellent''

  • good song

  • I feel like the traveller even though I stay in the same place and routines. Every moment seems like a race against time. There's always another mountain to climb. The road isn't leading anywhere.

    Days are numbers.

  • omg i love this song... its so depressing because it reminds me how unimportant people are... i guess the message i get when i listen to this song is that life is meaningless and pointless unless you enjoy it... so enjoy life while u can! dont get down in the dumps for long!

  • Nice song and the music

is high tech it remind me

of some sexy babes of the 80's

when i watch on youtube :)

  • Everytime I hear this, I find myself reaching for the tissues. It seems the really great musicians/bands are from England are heavily schooled in classical music. When my marriage was in a really tough spot, I played this song a bazillion times. Happily, we will celebrate our 27th this year. Been a Parsonsmaniac since '76. Life is good, eh!!!

  • Since forever, Parsons, Miles, Woolfsons, Zakatek.. too... Old times, old songs, old memories..

  • Very well Mr USM7j!! You have been a Parsonsmanic since the very beginning!!

    Congratulations!

    Ciao

    Fernando

  • First time I heard the Dream/Raven, I was living in the middle of nowhere, Wyoiming & committing herbicide. Got our FM radio on cable from Salt Lake City, Utah. Somehow had the presence of mind to call the station (KCPX?) and ask who the hell performed that awesome piece. Drove to Salt Lake the next day and bought 2 copies of the album!!!!

  • I was and still listening The Alan Parsons Project songs way back 1980's when I was still in high school....It has a great impact on my Life....some of his songs touches me emotionally....I can really relate on it's lyrics...and the melody is just perfect to me....

  • Alan is one of those rare people who sees the whole picture. He IS a musician, singer, producer, and has one ability that is missing in many artists, the capability to put great musicians together and make them sound as though they have been playing together for 30 plus years. If you go to his concerts, you will hear just about every song note for note as was orignally recorded, be it "Tales" or "Path". All 14 original albums are murals in and of themselves. He IS a genius AND the best.

  • They've had soooo many excellent songs, it boggles the mind how a band could be so great over so many years.

  • One of the best songs ever!

  • God this album is brilliant xx

  • im lovin the scenery... btw where is this? anyone know? maybe ill go on a vacation...

  • Minneapolis, Minnesota I think!!!

  • Marvellous

  • Maravilhoso...muito lindo...perfeito.

  • Perfeito. Pegou a alma da música.

    Parabéns!
