at the mo i hunt with a .22lr rifle , which i think is great as ive just not long ago came from hunting with air rifles, is the .223 cal a bit ott for hunting rabbits or is it quite normal??
i mean this in an honest question as im looking for good info.
@bunnysniper22 ,a 22lr is fine for rabbits up to around 120 meters we have shot rabbits to 200 meters on stanard ammo ,a 223 is is more long range up to 300 meters ,i use my 223 for wild rabbits, goats, pigs, deer ect to 300 meters and thats when i use my 7mm08
@bunnysniper22 dont buy a 223 for rabbits 22lr is fine nad if ur looking for somthing that will go a bit further go for a 17hmr a 223 is more for fox's goat roos that sort of stuff
its wabbit season

haha, why not just go ahead and send a few .308 down range? Maybe an accompanying grenade or two?

why would you need a .223 to hunt rabbits?Lol.Use a pellet gun or a .22
Humberto4790 1 year ago
@Humberto4790 ,you dont need a .223 for rabbits but i do most of my rabbit shooting up to around 400 yards and a .22 doesent shoot that far
