Well, unlike some people who have commented on here, I really enjoy this song and Ballad of Worms by Cage. I think this song made an awesome melody to rap over. I love Built To Spill and Cage and I listen to them both. I'm not going to hate one or another just because I don't like one or the other.

@gvoorhis09 "uncreative il-artistic rappers" You make yourself look like an idiot in this one. Do you realize SAMPLING is PART of hip hop? Most rappers that got their heads on straight will say they are NOT MUSICIANS but they are ARTIST.know the difference in those words? If not google it.

Then for the backing of hip hop.. best thing I ever heard is "you cant be dumb and make hip hop, hip hop wont let you" So much rock music is useless babble all tucked together

@gvoorhis09 How can you say he didn't do the song justice? and how can you even think about saying all rappers are uncreative? Cage sampled the beat and the chorus because he obviously though that this beat and chorus fit the song perfectly, and because he probaly likes this song. All the lyrics are cage's and he does an amazing job. He could have just as easily made up a beat and chorus like he does in all of his other songs. Don't compare good rappers to the shit you hear on the radio.
