He needed it after killing a Ford 8 inch diff out of a V-8 Mustang II...... Beautiful Capri by the way!

Do all of you notice something chronologically important about the Capri's body shape? The racy styling predated the U.S. Ford Mustang 4th generation styling design by a full model year? Though the Capri was introduced in Europe during 1969, it sold as a 1970 model. It arrived to North America just as the then-new Mustang design generation of cars were coming off the Dearborn factory lines.
Notice the similarity of the doors and front fenders to those on the 1971-73 Ford Mustangs.
Nice job on the restoration. I am in the process of restoring a 76 Capri that has a factory sunroof. I am in need of the felt seal (weather stripping) that goes around it. I live in the US and can't find one here. Any ideas? Thanks.

I'm tempted to buy one here in California, but they are few and far between and usually pretty rough needing full restoration. Now you have me thinking about one with a ford V8.
Got them from Mustangs Unlimited in America. Cant remember exact cost but think it was around £550 including the postage to uk. Worked out cheaper than buying them in the uk at the time anyway as it was nearly $2 to £1 at the time.
You need alloy hubs, the best ones i found are from hi-spec 5 x 4.5 inch but you do have to get them drilled. the other option is to get a pair of Zodiac front hubs which have the correct pcd.
@gizmotab I'm sure it's illegal to do this, but if you know of any U.S. servicemembers over there (UK has at least some Air Force types at RAF Mildenhall), you should see if you can get your U.S.-catalog stuff shipped to them, maybe in exchange for a case of beer or something. They get really excellent rates on postage from the U.S. I remember being overseas (I'm a Yank) and being blown away at how cheaply my parents were sending things to me.
