  • @wileyx666 Thank you for your comment. Enjoy.

  • I think it was a 32 from what i remember, the neck was warped and fretboard really worn

  • many years ago i had a "1932 national' that looks identical to yours!!I so wish Id have held on to it.

  • @briguy10001 Thank you for your comment. The value of vintage resonators has dramatically dropped off over the years with the production of high quality reproductions from National Resophonic guitars and an influx of low end imported guitars from Asia. I own a few vintage instruments. Although, I like them a lot, the cost to refurbish them is rather expensive. A new instrument may not be as romantic, but their overall performance it much better. Enjoy.

  • thanks for advices, helped a lot!

  • @glovetrotter Thank you for your interest and comment. Enjoy.

  • hey man great advice. im just starting with the slide and your info has helped me tons. I cant wait to see what other advice you have in the other videos! What open tuning do you prefer when your playing delta blues?

  • @harrycarey15 Thank you for your interest and comment. If you are interested in learning this style, please check out my video instructional CDs that are for sale on ebay by searching: keni lee

I teach the two basic Delta tunings, Open D an G, and then compare the two tunings to uncover the mystery between them. Very reasonably priced. Please feel free to write if you have further questions. Enjoy

  • Play the damn guitars!

  • @Jens1503 LOL Thank you for your comment. I will send you a video where I play many of my guitars. Enjoy.

  • keni

hi i think this is a good video i am also a guitar teacher , i like the straight forward approach id well explained good stuff like it

    al

    seasons greetings

  • Thank you al. Nice to hear positive feedback from a fellow teacher. I try to keep it down to earth and approachable. My instructional CDs are basically my "backward step" (relearning everything to improve) and documenting my experience to share with friends and students to help them develop their own approach. I don't want to limit my students just by teaching songs, but I explain the techniques and theories I use to figure out songs and arrange my own renditions. Happy Holidays. Enjoy.

  • It's just an idea at them moment, but I'm thinking of making a cigar box guitar for part of my product design gcse. Do you have any tips and possible plans as I may be making most of it from scratch. Thanks and awesome videos!

  • This sounds like an excellent learning experience. I am a player not a builder, but at the cigarboxnation website you will find plans and members who are more than willing to answer your questions and help you progress through your build. Then when it is completed, come see me and ask your musical questions. Happy Holidays. Enjoy.

  • Ahh yes, How many strings should it have? What differences does the amount of strings give? etc etc

    Cheers!

  • one string...one note at a time

    two strings...doublestops (power chords)

    three strings...chords (tri-tones)

    more strings...complex chords.

The more strings...the greater the pitch range of the instrument from bass to treble.

    Enjoy.
