I like most of their albums (certainly not In Torment In Hell), both old and new. I think the Hoffman Brothers have written better riffs overall and have a good number of classics to their name, but their leads pail in comparison to the ones on the Ralph/Owen albums. Ralph's solo style is just too eargasmic imo.

Of course they're gonna taint anything that stays behind with them. Roadrunner almost broke up Deicide before they left for Earache. Earache sucks.

Slipknot was metal, just not the new stuff that comes packaged w/o a Parental Advisory label. The more commercialized something becomes, the less metal it is. Look at Roadrunner Records, Slipknot's label. They've sold theirselves to MTV. THe label that put out Deicide, Sepultera, and Obituary, now puts out shit like Nickelback. Of course they're gonna taint anything that stays behind with them. Roadrunner almost broke up Deicide before they left for Earache. Earache sucks.
