Strep throat SUCKS

instead of taking the antibiotics for 10 days I just got the shot...it got rid of it faster..

you got antibiotics right? im on day 7 with th biotics and this shit still hurs! how long does it usually last? i got another 3 days left on the pills i hope it will be better then i have a wedding to attend! -_-

It stuns me you didn't go to the doctor to have it checked out. You know that if strep is left untreated, it's life-threatening or even fatal.

@epopchock haha yeah i know this but I refuse to go to the doctor unless i cant physically function, or if i have some sort of musculoskeletal problem that needs fixed

@TheNavyHM Even if the strep throat goes away on it's own, it can affect your heart. You won't know until one day you drop dead. It's best to get your throat checked (which is painless) and get the antibiotics. It also clears it up much faster.

I thought sore throats were bad but this just sucks. I can barley bring down solid food, it hurts to drink any liquid, anything I eat irritates my tongue, and I have nothing else wrong with me. You would think that 3 days off school would be amazing, but when you have this you don't really feel like doing anything but lying around in bed. I'm 13 and it's my first time getting strep throat.

This fucking sucks.

I work in a lumber yard and get little cuts or my fingers banged up alot and I can walk it off. but having strep throat makes me feel like a helpless little bitch.

I think I had that... but my doctor never gave me a proper diagnosis and just shoved me on penicillin and I think I might still have a hint of it left, coz my glands haven't really gone down since... but It's not contagious like Strep throat usually is coz my bf hasn't caught it... anyhoo
