  • does it have to be an ipod or does any mp3-player work on it too?

  • hey guys! I was wondering, can this pedal ysed like a common pedalbord, meaning, 1 preset stored in each one of these 3 knobs

    thank you

  • does it work on some kind of phase?

  • I've just ordered the voicelive play GTX, without really knowing what it is capable of. My aim is to connect my guitar to this unit thru on to my Boss Gt-10 and then to my stereo power guitar amp, I'll be using the FX of the GT-10 for my guitar and the FX of the GTX for my voice (the GTX of course connected also to a mixer) this way the GTX'll recognize my guitar chords which I'd like to use for the harmonies created, don't know if they are as good as on voicelive 2 though?

  • Does the TC Helicon VoiceLive Rack have voice cancellation?

  • Thanks, I definitely will be picking up one of these. When will they be available?

  • Hey guys comparing this to the VoiceLive Touch, What are the main differences, and which one is better?

  • @skyjuice1969 the main difference is one of control, connectivity and looping. With VoiceLive Touch you have a more options, which makes it more "pro" than VoiceLive Play, but depending on what your needs are and what you plan to use the units for, neither are "better" than the other. Both have the same high-quality harmony effects, delays, reverbs, adpative tone, etc. that TC-Helicon is famed for - and the sound quality is the same.

  • VoiceLive Play is designed to cover all the basic needs - and then some - for singers today. Should you require more than that, e.g. the ability to do advanced looping w/ shots technique, or have more connections to your setup, or access to advanced editing features, then you might want to look at VoiceLive Touch, or VoiceLive 2.

  • Come on Laura Clapp, I always love your voice, it's awesome, but I needed to hear you also have this machine do harmonies. Is that not what T.C is none for? Thanks for the demo though.

    Peace & blessings.

  • @Reggmail Yes, it certainly has harmonies! In fact, VoiceLive Play listens to your music. Using Auto Key technology it senses and adapts to your MP3 recordings using the aux input or the built in RoomSense microphones so that harmonies and pitch correction fit perfectly with your music. No Music Degree required! :-)

  • come on people you can't 100% remove vocals from a track, it all depends on the mix. TC Helicon have to make a more convincing video/demo if they invented some state-of-the-art vocal removal technique (which I doubt).

  • @RaverWild Obviously, you can't remove vocals on a finished track altogether since it would mean removing frequencies that would ruin the music, but you'll find that the Vocal Cancel in VoiceLive Play is in fact quite convincing and works incredible well. Not a small feat.

  • @tchelicon Thanks for your reply. Your new boxes are actually really cool, especially the practice mode. But can you make a separate video specifically on the voice removal feature - I am curious how it works. A single press of one button is not convincing. Is it preset-based? Each voice and mix is unique and I imagine I need maybe to download a preset from you for every song/band to have this working?

  • @RaverWild nothing that intricate. The Vocal Cancel feature is frequency based (as you know the human voice covers a certain spectrum), so in that respect it is similar to how these things normally work - but it has been finely tuned and the way it delivers the final mix, you don't feel the sound of the original recording to be all "boxy" and weird. Obviously, there is a sonic difference, but it's not as heavy-handed as other vocal cancel features you might have experienced before.
