My problem with PETA: MY dog, I have no idea why, is TERRIFIED of coming inside, and when we force her in, she is scared to the point where she pukes. So we gave her a doggy door, and the a fenced backyard so she could live where she pleased. Then a member of PETA called me an animal abuser for FORCING my dog to live outside. PETA does the dirty work it sucks but someone has to do it. If they wanted animals to be free from people they would not have companion animals themselves.

@xGoingProSoonx He got 18 months (not 2 and a half years) for "conspiracy to operate a dogfighting ring" which is a white collar crime. Vick was not convicted of ANY crimes relating to animal abuse, despite the fact that he premeditatively slaughtered and tortured literally dozens of dogs to death.

Just because he can throw a football well does not mean anything morally, he still caused suffering to many mammals and victims that he can never take back, it was no mistake but premeditated.

@falsepride most vets also put down dogs (for the most part painless) due to breeders and puppy mills or pet stores. Also they are given agressively trained dogs from such dog fighters who are not adoptable or sick dogs which accounts for many. Promoting and creating 1 veg spares 1000's (mostly smaller birds) more suffering. I agree that what he did is not much worst than granny buying meat or a Furr coat from a skinned dog legally imported from china, clubbed baby white seal or rabbit.

There are way too many sick and homeless animals out there that the number they put out of suffering is just a fraction of the ones out there so your logic is extremely flawed. Also, they do not want them to not be our pets, they want them to be our companion animals. PETA encourages adopting, it is when people buy bred dogs that we run into problems.

@JeffreyDahmersHorse the reason PETA finds so many sick and in danger animals is because they do rescue missions, most other shelters wait for animals to come to them. PETA does the dirty work it sucks but someone has to do it. They find all of the animals that are too wounded or abused and the ones that are so uncared for that don't even enter shelters, which is why they have a higher rate than most. If they wanted animals to be free from people they would not have companion animals themselves.

They go in and have people sing over their animals and usually they have many problems that would make the rest of their lives horrible. He admitted he did it when he was a kid, and he admitted that he did it to all these dogs. That is the only reason, ironically, that he was able to get away with no animal abuse charges.
He has been involved in dogfighting HIS ENTIRE LIFE. He sees nothing wrong with it and he has no problem torturing and killing dogs like the dozens they found.

@xGoingProSoonx it was the intent, stallworth had a motor vehicle ACCIDENT. He was under the influence as too many make the mistake.
Vick's actions were calculated, manipulative and malicious over long periods of time in a normal but sadistic mindframe. Also, those who abuse animals often go on to abuse people. Such crimes also result in other crims like gambling, drugs and dont stop at that either.
He is lucky he didnt get karma, torn appart by the dogs he trained and abused.

@xGoingProSoonx He got 18 months (not 2 and a half years) for "conspiracy to operate a dogfighting ring" which is a white collar crime. Vick was not convicted of ANY crimes relating to animal abuse, despite the fact that he premeditatively slaughtered and tortured literally dozens of dogs to death.
Vick should be in prison for the rest of his life, but PETA loves him for some reason and thinks he's "reformed".
