I dont think you had been very please to hear Vortex sang anything of the stuff Anders have sang on the latest records either. Vortex almost always sings with his angel clear voice while Anders have a much broader variation of his voice. Cant say who is best cause i like them both, just different ways to sing.

Keep in mind that this song was written with Vortex's vocals in mind. I think both vocalists do a great job on their respective albums, and Vintersorg did a pretty good job here too. It's hard to fill Simen's shoes though. I agree, with Borknagar, Vintersorg sounds like he's holding back. The vocals on his solo work are stellar though.

Vintersorg has an amazing voice, but he's much, much better in his solo project (every single one of his albums is incredible) than he is in Borknagar. I think it party has to do with Borknagar trying to shoehorn him into a musical style that doesn't quite suit his voice.

I love Borknagar, but I think that Vintersorg can't reach Simen's levels. What I can hear is mostly shouting with a little help from the nose, not singing (in this live show).
