They pushed for it, they really did. Many people complained that the Prelude was never made a six cylinder car. Honda was about to manufacture it too, in late 1999 but by 2000 it was evident that Prelude sales were going down and there was no hope into making a newer generation Prelude, they let all the market sales go into the Accord instead. :(

The Prelude looks so much like a performance car and it's sucks that Honda left it FWD Inline 4 with only 200 HP. The Accord V6 is a wannabe performance coupe that is a fatter version of the Accord sedan and ugly. The Prelude is right there with the NSX and S2000 as Honda's best looking cars.
