I sure think Steve Harley is a good vocal, but definitely not the kind of vocal to take the place of phantom. And, the story changed. He wasn't actually give Christine some wedding veil. And, MOST OF ALL, what happened to phantom's mask?! It's practically MOST important thing for phantom!

Excellent version. Steve Harley's wonderful voice really suits this song! He is a FAR better singer than Michael Crawford. Harley was a pop star with a string of hits to his name in the UK in the 70s, and a great songwriter too.
