  • What's become of Orientals?

  • The one thing that America love the most ?!, and cherish and worship ?!.

IS BIG BLACK COCKS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! - I sound like a fool and dumb right ???!!!...WELL ITS THE FUCKING TRUTH !!!

  • In america homosexuals are treated better then Asians...

  • @HistoryHmoobGuy it's true too.

  • Thanks for posting, these stories need to be told.......

  • From SuziWong to pushing 'weel pulvawized peaws' & non stop lectures on her ground breaking roles from sterotypes. The first Asian this & repressed Asian that. Why didn't she spend her empty time doing worthwhile projects & tours stamping out communisim when there was NO oppty for her. That would have been a credit to her intellect.Instead she takes the easy way out whining & reminding us of her Asian half ...ad nauseum but typical.

  • Blacks have made greater advances in Hollywood than Asians have, in terms of acting anyway.

  • @daughterrevolution One of the keys is more Asian directors that are willing to support Asians and able to write stories that don't stereotype Asians. They do it so well in Asia but not in the West.

  • @itwillbealright there is a major difference between blacks/latinos and Asian males. sure blacks/latinos have their negative stereotypes but it is balanced by many great and diverse roles in Hollywood. thats the difference...they have made great strides in the last 40 yrs while Asian males have pretty much ZERO progress other than couple exceptions. name me Asian American males in Hollywood that has actually portrayed decent characters and have had major roles. maybe 2 or 3 thats is. sad :(

  • @itwillbealright not enough Asian American directors out there who are willing to do those things. they're too busy doing chores for Hollywood and not advancing our cause. the only places u will see Asian males in positive light is in small indie films which nobody watches. the big studios will never let those type of movies ever get released. in order to break the barrier we need to be seen by the masses..not is some small indie films. we need creative directors who can sell the product.

  • @mover1111 It has to start with good Asian writers. You cannot expect a White writer to write a story and automatically think of the character as being Asian because their images and mentality are also shaped by our modern commercialized society where beauty is defined by magazines, television, and advertisements.

  • James Shigeta is a fucking legend.

  • If you listen carefully there is asian sounding music in the background, and at the end an asian sounding narrator. So, I guess what these actors are going through, the issue of stereotyping, is still relevant even in the documentary.

  • @filmwannabe2009 There's nothing wrong with Asian music as long as they don't use a ubiquitous gong noise everywhere.

  • about movie 21, the story is based on real life story of a group of asians, however the cast is mainly white (except the geek/losers are played by asian)

when people say the movie is racist, the Studio executives said that "most of the film's actors would be white, with perhaps an Asian female."

it says a lot. one can just tell that hollywood has a thing against asians, especially asian male.

  • @ssj4152 Yep. Also, just to clarify. The studio actually said "We originally wanted the entire cast to be white with an Asian female as a LOVE INTEREST." Hollywood seems hell-bent on isolating and alienating Asian males. This is really annoying for me as a white male because I don't want people to see me as a prejudiced, racist, bigot just because I'm white. I want to see ALL people glorified for their culture and achievements. Not held back because of them.

  • @itwillbealright i really don't think it will EVER change considering who runs Hollywood. people thought things would change after Bruce Lee died but even after 30+yrs what has changed for Asian males in Hollywood? NOTHING...in fact in some cases even worse. its pathetic. all i want to see is Asian males be fucking normal..wow is that so fucking hard to portray Hollywood? just normal people not some foreigner with heavy accent living in Chinatown, some gang member or some kungfu master.

  • @mover1111 It will change. If Asians become so good that nobody can deny them, then it will change. Actually, Asians made great strides in movies for awhile. Only in the last 10 years has there been a real regression in good strong roles for Asians. Why? The audiences. Not enough support from Asians and white americans want to see Asian women objectified as sexual objects and Asian males pinned as weak underlings that will do what they're told.

  • Where is the entire video?

  • Being of mixed heritage will eventually be the majority as the world comes closer and racial purity will be a thing of the past. Why not celebrate a phenomena that is the future? In reference to today's actors, I often wonder what would have happened if Keannu Reeves, Phoebe Cates, or Meg Tilly had debuted in films casted in Asian roles. Would their careers end up like Nancy and France? Maybe that's why these actors have stayed away from playing Asian parts to survive in the white world.

  • @lassley

I dont know and you must include Chad Micheal Murray

    his a quarter Japanese

I think they would proably play white roles

and the cousins of Chinese people are also

    Jake Gary Busey

    Jonas brothers

    Justin Whalin

    Taylor Luanter

    Tommy Lee Jones

  • part-Asian, they immediately forget your European heritage, and pigeonhole you as that "Chinese, Japanese, or Vietnamese guy or girl" even though initially they couldn't tell you were Asian at first glance. That is what happened to Nancy Kwan and France Nuyen, both debuted in films playing Asians and from then on were pigeonholed. It is a shame that Hollywood did not celebrate the beautiful look of Eurasians, as in the case of these 2 actresses. Even today, that ignorance still goes on...

  • @lassley

or if your look more oriental they forget your white ancestry

  • these two talented, beautiful actresses in non-Asian roles, but no. This has to do with that old racist one-drop rule. Eurasians are European and Asian, half and half, or more appropriately of both races. However, to the racist white majority, being half-white means you are non-white. of course, some racist Asians will also consider halfies as white only. however, most asians will acknowledge Eurasians as just that, a mixture of both races. White folks once they find out you are ...

  • @lassley

    See it goes both ways

and why does anyone need the one drop rule its so outdated and so idiotic

  • hairstyles, etc. It was obvious the studios went to great lengths with whatever tricks the make-up crew could do in order to hide these 2 actresses' anglo features. It's rather stupid come to think of it, if they had wanted to cast an actress to play an Asian role, why not hire one? Instead they hire Eurasians to play Asians where these actresses had to color their hair black, have their eyes drawn to exagerated slants to look "Asian". They could have done the same in reverse to cast ...

  • It's rather peculiar that both actresses Nancy Kwan and France Nuyen were limited in film parts back in the day due to their Asian heritage. First of all, both women are Eurasian. Both France and Nancy have equally strong Anglo physical traits. I couldn't tell that France was Asian when she appeared on Star Trek, nor Nancy in "The Wild Affair". But France in "South Pacific" and Nancy in "Suzie Wong" both appeared very Asian-looking. This was because of the make-up, continued...

  • IluvMingNa!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Asians include brown people too...dahhhh.
