This is a beautiful song and I love your photos. Your clean white stove makes me feel guilty about the slob that I am and I think I need to get out the scrubby things and make mine clean again.
There's something really unique and special about this song. I don't quite understand the words but quite beautiful regardless. The Gord Downie / City Colour duet on Sleeping Sickness is awesome.
I found out just how good Gord Downie was when I heard the song "Sleeping Sickness" by City and Colour, featuring Gord Downie, he really is a brilliant artist!!
Fantastic... tough call but I'd say this is my favourite track on CMG (which in turn is one of my favourite albums ever), and this was exactly the song I was hoping would turn up when I searched for Gord on YT. Great pictures too! Thanks very much.
(PS earthsystem03, just how baked were you when you wrote that?!)
Does anyone have videos of the guitarist for The Tragically Hip, Rob Bakers solo band i think they're called Stripper's Union. If you do please post i want to see how they sound Thanks
I think how the Hip formed influenced how people are expected to act if they are into music re forming bands re they are supposed to play with folk they went to school with-not such an appealing prospect to many I think-myself included-most bands formed when people moved to meet others like minded, not as an extension of what was more or les growing up-like Mr. Gordie here-this song kinda bleak to me-like mediocre greeting card-or an afterthought born on wings of percieved excellence-ouch
The First time i watched this video here, it was probably 4 years a go, its crazy how my life has changed since then.

He reminds me of morrissey. Downie is more poetic though. Anyway, good song, good pictures. Thanks for posting!

Although this is the Greatest song ever made...this isn't the video for it. Gord is supposed to be riding around on a swan boat.
