  • ok too clear things up. .at the start of the video from 0- 1:08 driver with green/white gloves is keiichi tsuchiya, after that the person with red gloves is kazama. .so at the time the car spun out, it was kazama driving

    Idiots rate cars by displacement and hp. It takes someone with an open mind to understand the value in a 1.6 Roadster with under 150PS.

    The MX5 is a great handling car which offers a rewarding driving experience. Especially on circuit. Get corner entry wrong in an MX5 and you dont have 500PS of wiz bang torque to keep your lap time respectable. It teaches the important of car control and smooth driving.

    Used by many circuit instructors worldwide for some time now ;)

  • I don't think it has to do JUST CUS IT HAS A K20 I think it has to do with the tuning as a whole, Spoon doesn't just produce great engines but the also produce great chassis modifications..and MX5s are great but I dont think there better than Civics but I don't think Civics are better than MX5s I think it comes down to how the car is tuned and ultimately drivers skill you can have a finely tuned car but if you don't know how to take advantage of that tuning then well you have a slow car.

  • Ah my apologies I didn't the full story K20 ek9 against ((STOCK)) Miata I would have to agree but then again (usually) anything tuned over stock has an advantage. Id rather prefer a Honda over Mazda (I own a EK) depending on what car it is. Ive never driven a MX5 so I don't have much say against your augment but have seen TUNED ones and I have to say they are incredibly nimble & fast for a chick car I would think it would give EK run for its money wouldn't mind having one it just wont be stock.

  • Because they are small motors with relatively high compression, which is better suited for n/a tuning. Not much of a honda fan, but i love the sound of an n/a built honda.

  • Also putting a turbo on a VTEC car kind of kills the spirit of VTEC.

  • Nah, it just makes the process faster.

    Tuners and street racers also replacethe 3-lobe shafts with aftermarket cam/crank shafts which kills the "concept" of VTEC...but it makes sense if they only need the High-Lift duration in race situation

  • You have no idea what youre talking about. Kazama has done a fair share of grip driving, he can drive grip very well. He spun because he was going on a sharp downhill while turning left and just turned too tight, thats all.
