@renatoufo Drive is short for Overdrive. The other types of "dirt" or "gain" pedals are Distortion (slightly more distorted than OD) and Fuzz (very saturated, almost a square wave).
@fuzzatface thanks! listening to the videoI think I played a few notes of "Cold Shot" by Stevie Ray Vaughan and then a few chords of 867-5309(Jenny Jenny) by Tommy Tutone....it's been a while since I recorded the video... :)
I've bought their chorus and echo a few years back and thought they did a good job. But nowadaze their Overdrives really sound better than ever. I just bought that OD in my city nobody at the store really cared or knew about the timmy/ocd buzz about whats up!
Yes, it is a Transparent Drive and not a Transparent Overdrive. I know, I have both of them. IMO, I like the DRIVE better playing Classic Rock, Blues and just listen to the Demo. It's sick. Good Luck finding this pedal now though. The V2 isn't as good and it's $60
can someone tell me if there is a difference between the danelectro transparent drive pedal and the danelectro drive pedal? mine is just like this one , says drive on it but i have seen ones that say transparent drive?
this is not the danelectro poedal that is supposedly based on the timmy. that one has a gold encasing. this is the one that's supposedly based on the OCD.
Absolutely. I first started carrying them in our teaching studio as a good first pedal for the kids in our performance classes to use that wasn't very expensive (we sell them for $22.00 right now) and I liked it so much I bought one for myself....

Hello I have a cool cat fuzz DANELECTRO.
You think it's a good match with the Fuzz & Drive?
or is it better match the fuzz &Transparent Overdrive?
87marshal 2 months ago
@87marshal it really depends on the kind of music you play....I'd try them both and let your ears decide.

This will sound great with my silvertone 1484!!_!

whats the difference between a " DRIVE" pedal and a " OVERDRIVE" pedal? I cant get this clear at all, thanks.
renatoufo 6 months ago
@renatoufo ultimately they are all distortion pedals...we use terms like "drive" and "overdrive" for lower distortion or gain pedals.

What is the body wood and neck of your strat ?
Because I can't stop watching this video, it sounds so awesome ! But I think the Deluxe Reverb makes the biggest part the job !
arioz1 1 year ago
@arioz1 The strat is Alder with a Rosewood fretboard. I just got the amp repaired this week and it sounds kind of different now....
premiermusic 1 year ago
@premiermusic Too bad because it couldn't be any better !
Last time I annoy you with my questions :) But what string gauge do you use ?
I have a VOX AC30 CC1 and I dream every night about the sound you get with you amp, the sound I can't get !
arioz1 1 year ago
@arioz1 I use 10 gauge Gibson Vintage Reissue strings
premiermusic 1 year ago
What an awesome clean sound ! What's that neck pickup ?? I guess the deluxe reverb does his job well too
arioz1 1 year ago
@arioz1 its the stock pickup in my Suhr classic strat - its a Suhr v60lp

Yeah they all go for like $20 on ebay (isn't danelectro a british company? why should they be £20 on ebay when the states see $20???)
i guess it's just another example of how everything is less expensive in the states...
