kobe saying all this, in the end, was a good thing! everyone trained hard and got their stuff together.... 2 years later they are the champs.
kobe got his 4th ring with au..but with some other key players having their contracts ending..the lakers need someone else that will not only keep kobe happy..but will keep the team winning..they now have that with ron artest. ron will man up the defense...and kobe will be kobe on the offense.

Regardless of how you look at things, Kobe is an intelligent person on and off the court, and obviously his non-stop barking at management worked; his team is once again a championship contender.

i really can't blame kobe for how he felt back then. he really is a true lakers fan. he couldn't stand being in a somewhat shitty team because he's the best in the league and he knew it. i'm sure it was hard for him to admit to wanting to leave his home. even if he left, i have mad respect for him but i will always be a lakers fan. thats my team. even though i grew up with kobe being basically the center of the lakers... i can't imagine LA without him!

Now that I think about it, LeBron took a page out of Kobe's book with all that "I wanna be traded" talk. So now he's getting MVP in 09.
Next year, it's Dwayne Wade's turn to pull this trick. His contract is up in 2010/2011.
Grab enough attention and you'll get MVP, I'm starting to see a pattern here.

he wanted to win, and at the time the lakers were barely even making the playoffs and had been ousted by pheonix.
he tried sticking with the team and try winning, but with smush and kwame and bryan cook, it just wasnt working
