Elizabeth was so incredible. Here you have this stunningly gorgeous woman who carried herself with such dignity and grace and yet was unafraid to put herself in situations where to be quite frank she was going to play the fool
There are so many actresses both then and now who would be unwilling to do this afraid that it would damage their appeal as a "sex symbol" or however you want to phrase it. But Liz knew she could pull stuff like this off and it would only endear her more to her audience
i find this soo funny because that would be me i have tons of blonde moments and i had long blonde hair that i couldn't control for most of my life ha and i love the book othello so i find it so funny because i knew that scene :]
Thanks for the work that went into posting this. Such talent back in the 50s 60s and 70s, we will not see the likes of these great people again. Liz and Paul are great together. Paul was a guest on one show of Bewitched and Liz said, to ABC do whatever we have to do to have him as a regular guest. She fell in love with his talent and him on his first guest spot as teaching Sam how to drive.
HILARIOUS!!!! I have always watched Paul Lynde and Elizabeth Montgomery in their respective roles of Uncle Arthur and Samantha Stephens from 'Bewitched'...... here, they play off each other like a professional comedy duo! Two great talents, both gone too soon, but fondly remembered forever! This is classic TV! Again, my extreme gratitude for posting!
Yes, after Paul guest-starred in "Driving Is the Only Way To Fly", Bill Asher (who produced several unsold pilots featuring Paul over the years, until selling "THE PAUL LYNDE SHOW" to ABC in 1972), as the series' "production consultant" in 1965, helped conceive "Uncle Arthur" as a semi-regular role for Lynde the following fall...and filled admirably until 1971.
Liz wanted Paul Lynde to appear as a guest on her "Palace" stint because, of course, they were good friends and worked EXTREMELY well together on her series...some TV commercials were still filmed and shown in black and white in October 1966, as the spots at 7:20 for "Wernet's Dentu-Creme" and "Tegrin" [two popular Block Drug Company products] demonstrates.
Paul, did one guest show on Bewitched and Liz, told Asher do what ever you have to get him as a regluar. She and him were very good friends. I wish they stuff like this today, this was good clean stuff. Oh how we don't have the actors and actress like we did back then. Liz was so pretty, she was my first crush.
RIP LIZ....LOVED AND ADORED BY SO MANY. WISH SHE HAD HAD THE CHANCE TO GROW OLD WITH HER CHILDREN AND ALL HER BEAUTIFUL GRANDCHILDREN AROUND HER....

Here was another iconic actor, who was absolutely the Best! no one today will ever match
the comedic wit and superiority of the late Paul Lynde,as shown on this segment of ABC's
"THE HOLLYWOOD PALACE" with his BEWITCHED co-star Elizabeth Montgomery. these
are truely irreplaceble people,as they are introduced into another generation of fans!

How can someone ask what year this is from?
Usually it's the last four numbers of a posted date, such as...xx/yy/zzzz.
"zzzz" would be your year.
Thus, in this case, I would say the year is 1966.
You're welcome
