  • I love how he references Zeppelin all the time

  • @3fatkid Just because someone is lactose intolerant doesn't mean they can't eat lactose-filled products. I'm lactose intolerant, and I get around it by taking a "Lactaid" pill, which serves as a temporary lactase enzyme.

  • random but mouse traps freak me out

  • he eats cheese but he's said on more than one occasion that he's lactose intolerant.....

  • Anyone else waiting for a joke about "cutting cheese" at 8:28?

  • Woah wait I thought bacteria hated salt *romace to the bird episode*

  • why don he jus get a jar of that nacho shit its already runny and shit

  • Intro could not be more annoying

  • We're having a thunderstorm now and the beginning threw me off x3

  • The first episode I ever saw... ah..

  • i like how both the top comments mean the same thing, but are just said completely differently

  • Driving a wire through a bit of Limburger doesn't smell much better than a certain other kind of "cutting the cheese."

  • Anybody else notice the pack of Lucky Strike?

  • hey look, ellen from "the adventures of pete and pete" is a cheesemonger now

  • The thing is, is that both Mike Rowe and Alton Brown preform in ways that help someone understand what is going on. In AB's case he takes a more scientific approach, while having diagrams/wacky comedy skits that make it entertaining and relateable. In Mike Rowes case, he goes out and preforms with people who know the craft, it is relatable because of the fact that like oursevles, he might not have any backround knowledge. In the end both men are enjoyable to watch and very entertaining.

  • watch out mickey alton is out to get you

  • @ AvriamG yeah speaking of other TV chefs doing what AB does I would love to see Giada de Laurentis milk a cow! *rotfl just thinking about it!!* XD

  • @logiclovr I wouldn't mind milking giada either

  • @boogeymanhydrobudda lol not what i meant sicko XD

  • Hee hee Alton got caught in his own traps! Also that is the biggest wedge of cheese I have ever seen. Mm, cheese.... :P

  • Alton's like Wallace!

  • Great episode, but the only thing is mice actually prefer peanut butter to cheese. Alton might have better luck with his home made PB.

  • this episode makes me hungry like a mother fucker

  • whoa i never knew cheese was so complicated. Gone are my romantic notions of cheese being made rustic cottage by a hearty wench.

  • First episode I ever watched! Great memories.

  • lol cheese cutting juggernaught

  • coagulated gym sock yummy..ewww

  • I have the technology to cut the cheese

  • "Small harpsichord"! LMAO

  • anyone notice those two girls were twins at 6:22

  • CHEESE XD

  • I wish he would be consistent with his 'advice'.

In several episodes, he bashes the 4-sided-cheese graters. In this episode, he lists it as a "Must Have"!

Makes one think he's getting kick-backs from the Bed Bath and Beyond folks where he films the "W" segments.

  • well maybe The graters are good for one thing and bad for others.

  • Good for grating cheese....

    but...

    Bad for grating cheese?

    Your Post != Logical.

  • Depends on the cheese, and you dont only grate cheese u know =P

He grated other veggies, idk what episode it was but he made a deal with his niece and like She said he can get her to eat veggies she'll give him 100 bucks, so for one of the recipies he used the grater to grate the veggies (which i forgot the name)

^^ Dont Question the ways of AB =P ;)

  • You should also realize that the show spans 13 seasons now and that much experience can change a person's mind.

  • No, i think it's just that his opinions change over the years. GE has been on the air for.... what, 14, 15 years now? I know I change my mind about things over that kind of time.

  • i think they just had there 10th anniversary show not to long ago

  • oh god i hope that didnt get posted my browser fuvked up1

  • Dizzy!

  • what's the jerky vision about?

    it's making me sea-sick!

  • Normally I don't mind it, but the circling camera in the cheese store was making me dizzy. I wonder if I can counter that by eating some cheese?

  • this episode I really love because it's CHEESE

  • uuuuummmm, cheesey!

  • I live in Wisconsin- and for the heck of it, I went to the cheese world fair. It was so dang yummy! Wisconsin is apparently the American home of beer and cheese. ALTON ROCKS.

  • i love good eats and all of the shows are good!So im pretty happy with this vid.

  • Poor Squeaky! Ha!

  • I can't stop giggling at all the cheese cutting lines. I can't help it. XD

  • I love how Alton always does everything. Milks the cows, works in the cheese factory.. He's just amazing. Noone else in a cooking show (or any show) would do half the things he does, and never with such expertise and effeciency, as if he's always done it.

  • @AviramG

actually Mike Rowe has done those things and has done more.

  • @AviramG

actually Mike Rowe has done those things and has done more.

  • @edde808 no one cares about mike rowe alton brown takes the cake

  • @AviramG Hmm I see Gordon Ramsay do a lot of things.

  • @AviramG while not a chef, Mike Rowe does tons of stuff. But otherwise, you're right.

  • @AviramG he milked that monologue pretty well too.

  • alton brown is the best

  • @radicaledward27 Absolutely. I agree.

  • lol at the car: "BRRRRROOOOO-AAAA!!!"

  • Well, then...

  • The irony of your user name then my friend

  • same here. I"m not a huge cheese fan. I likes American , Cheeder, blue cheese, mozz , parm and goat cheese.

  • Have you tried some of the better cheeses? All of those are common, try some better kinds that aren't as well known in America.

  • he would melt his sisters what?

    Mmmm....Walserstolz.

  • I always shop at Whole Foods for my cheese.

Cranberry Wensleydale + black cherry preserves + Napa Cabernet = best snack you've ever had in your life

  • That sounds amazing!!

  • But you have to drink the rum first. Lots of it :)
