  • Hi, I was wondering how do you change the service provider, I know Google don't let you use them anymore. So I was going to go with Bing, but how do you get to that point after the "Download".

  • With a 800 kbit/s connection (about 100 KB/s), can one use Tileproxy ?

  • @aikenbcd I dont think so...

  • so does tileproxy work for the whole world or just some parts?

  • @mikej5337

Whole world. That depend on what type of service (yahoo maps, google etc.) you use.

  • l downloaded tileproxy but everything looks the same wat happened do i need to restart my computer before it works

  • @butterbean444 You need to actually "run" tileproxy and go through the installation as per the tileproxy website. Just downloading it doesn't make it run ;)

  • 5 * stars video!!!

  • Thank you ;-)

  • Please tell me is near by anybody city ?

    Thank :-)

    Nice song and scenery

  • Where can I get this? I googled it but idk if there is an exact website and I don't really trust other websites.

  • can you use like trees and stuff on tile proxy or no?

  • how is the land shadowing for this tile proxy?

  • can anyone give me agood download link?

  • do you lose alot of fps? i thought you gain it cus of lack of autogen

  • helll nahh

    i gained 25 fps

    im averaging at about 50-60.

of course i got the amd 955 with a 4890

  • does anyone know why i might be getting mixed tiles they seem to come from all sort of scenes dont know what to do help plz ? thx

  • dude can you install this for me on my fsX??????? We can do team viewer

  • what is tile proxxy for ?

  • Flight Simulator X

  • yea i know what game but what does it do ?

  • I just got tile proxy, cool thing to have... if you don't mind me asking, what song?

  • Its easy : Google Tileproxy download.

    Install :

    First start Tileproxy

    Then FSX

    Enjoy

Maybe you have to configure the proxyuser.ini config. The One Following works great.

  • Should I add a Scenery , or I just need to install TileProxy ?

  • You need to install it.

  • could you send me a download link? I got a 360mb tileproxy download, but it don't work very good.... flightsim crashes whe it's loading :(! (Im using Fs9 btw)

  • that might be a problem.

  • its your choice ^^

  • how to get the Tileproxy please answer please!!!!!! that is perfect

  • that program is awesome. hope it will be able to support autogen someday. that would be perfect ^^

  • actually, from what i've read about it, it will decrease perf. Extra burden going for the cpu to compute.

  • it improved my performance

  • I lost about 15 fps with this

  • Three or more HDD's really help with TP.

First for FSX and mesh, second for tile cache, third for bgl files.

  • wow that scenery looks awesome

where did you get it? ;-)

  • I feel like an idiot...

TileProxy is a program to import images from Google Earth to FSX.

  • Google Earth is not yet supported in release Beta 8, as far as i know. Therefore: MSN virtual earth, Yahoo maps, Ask maps.

  • @jojovf HI I WHOULD LOVE TO HVE THIS ON MY PC BUT EVERY TIME IT ASK FOR A MAP PROVIDER I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO PLEASE HELP ME

  • @pezal223 go into tileproxy.ini and at the bottom you should see something like this

    service1

    #service2

    #service3

    #service4

remove the # symbol if you want to use that service provider, read the website it helps alot

  • wow, it doesn't work nearly this well on my system. It's always trying to keep up with loading and sometimes it just doesn't load. Not to mention you can see the default fsx scenery tiles in a few miles radius. I have a good system and a cable connection too. Maybe it's a Vista problem? Who knows?

  • hey guys sry for the stupid question but what is TileProxy? :-)

  • Does the internet connection matter? Nice vid btw. 5/5*

  • If you have more than 2Mb connection it would be ok ;-)

  • Sorry for my stupid question, but: You mean 2 mbit, don't you?

I've got a 16 mbit connection (DSL 16.000 kbit/s), and am also flying with FSX + Tileproxy. The texture loading is quick enough up to about 200 kph, but with the F-18 or the Boeing 737, Learjet it is too slow!

Did i understand it right, that the loaded textures are kept safe on the HDD, so that they do not have to be reloaded, when flying next time over the same area?!?!?

  • wooah! but does it decrease performance?

  • wow O.o

  • Looking good, mind if I put this on my portable player? ;-)
