I've built a few from car tape player motors. these are ok for line work. use sand paper to sharpen. if you just cut at an angle youll get burs which are painfull. clean with bleach.
If you sterelize the needle, or whatever you're using, wash the area really well and aren't a giant pussy then you can give yourself a tattoo with no problems, apart from maybe looking stupid. Depends on the Tat.

I works better if you wrap cotton thread arround a needle and attach it to a pen (to make a handle) As long as the needle is properly sterilised, there is no harm...tattoo inks can be bought online :)

Indians and other tribal folk have been tattooing themselves for decades, centuries? without the use of an autoclave in a much filthier environment...as long as you didn't stick the needle up your nose or up your ass, and cleaned the area to be tattooed with alcohol, there's a small chance of infection. also, only use one machine per person. that pretty much eliminates the risk for blood-borne viruses. it's pretty common sense to me.
In my opinion it's really not the safest thing to even attempt in the first place. Though mine slowly faded...... Hurt like hell!! And yes my obsession with the clothing drop dead was in mind at the time. :)

yes u can use it again. u can ink from a pen any kind of ink works i do mine from ink out of a pen. it works well and the tattoo i gave my self the ink from the pen hasn't faded yet and i have had it for 1 year already

I works better if you wrap cotton thread arround a needle and attach it to a pen (to make a handle) As long as the needle is properly sterilised, there is no harm...tattoo inks can be bought online :)

Get a $10 machine from china on ebay, before you build something like this :P
Those are "somewhat" professional at least...but this piece of junk you created there...geeesh :)
And to all the people talking about infections and crap...look at the Maui people, they got no machines... and they tattoo with Ash, dirt and crap. Not saying its healthy, but they survived until now^^
Also, a infection you get most likely when you tattoo to deep...and this can happen in a steril enviroment also.

@TheCrashyyy because needles have a gap in between and from what i know bacteria CAN get inside it an they were not flexible so when you try to bend at a 90degree angle like it says in the video it will break

Indians and other tribal folk have been tattooing themselves for decades, centuries? without the use of an autoclave in a much filthier environment...as long as you didn't stick the needle up your nose or up your ass, and cleaned the area to be tattooed with alcohol, there's a small chance of infection. also, only use one machine per person. that pretty much eliminates the risk for blood-borne viruses. it's pretty common sense to me.

In my opinion it's really not the safest thing to even attempt in the first place. Though mine slowly faded...... Hurt like hell!! And yes my obsession with the clothing drop dead was in mind at the time. :)

Well my friend helped me he's good at art and things. And really it wasn't permanent
I went to see the doctor and he said that it can get infected by things like that. And I think it's much better than a sewing machine and a pencil like ozzy osbourne

ive done a few tattoos on myself with things like that. i dont regret them at all, they remind me of the times of my life when i got them. i also have pro done tattoos. anyone can get a pro done tat but its fun and cheaper to do em yourself. you feel good when u see ur own artwork on ur body that uv done

I like the creativity behind things like this. but ultimately in the future you will have regretted going this route. Assuming you got passed the health risks, the quality of your tat will vary extremely. not to mention will look like shit after a few years. Might as well go to your local county jail and have one of the inmates do it for you in exchange for a pack of cigs.

As a professional tattoo artist, the whole thing i've just seen sickens me. The only part of 13098519's comment i will address is the 'assuming you got passed the health risks".....trust me. yes u can use it again. u can ink from a pen any kind of ink works i do mine from ink out of a pen. it works well and the tattoo i gave my self the ink from the pen hasn't faded yet and i have had it for 1 year already

OMG no no & no! Don't do it! Once you get a virus infection and you end up lying in the bed for months or even worse (if the infection spreads quickly, amputation is probable), you'll regret that money you saved from not going to the professional tattoo artist! This is serious shit, you can seriously do a lot of harm to your health.. All of the equipment MUST be sterilized in the proper sterilization device!!!
