  • Brilliant!

  • Reminds me of Morricone's soundtrack for Pasolini's Teorema. Zappa forever.

  • Reminds me of Morricone's soundtrack for Pasolini's Teorema.

  • ***This music removed due to a copyright claim by Gail Zappa*** (even though he is obviously not making any money form this).

  • @analyzingfunny If she has, I find that really sad. Civilization Phase 111 seems to be the only one that they don't issue in their catalogue. If they couldn't make any money from it, what has the Zappa family trust got to lose. To me this was Z's Magnus Opus. If someone likes this enough they'll want to buy it - then they'll be in for a real treat such as the 20 minute long 'Beat the Reaper'.

  • Frank Zappa, a genius pretending to be a clown

  • @whatever803 I think he was precisely trying to demonstrate a clown can definitely be a genius

  • N-Lite is truly brilliant. Brilliant and terrifying at the same time!!!

  • Great video. Good job. I love this album.

  • I listen this and can't help thinking: MUSIC FOR KUBRICK

  • If there was one album I would try and rescue in a fire it would be Civilization Phase III. Trout Mask Replica perhaps too, but thats that album's easier to replace. N Lite is truly amazing. I love all the gurgly animal sounds! For visuals I'd preferr a cartoon of prehistoric reptiles, amphibians, insects, and general swamp bacteria.

  • @unbeatableenergy N-Lite, more of a physics thing.

  • this is very good...thanks, using music from Civilization Phase III, is good because people should to be exposed to it.

  • Creative.

  • Can someone recommend an album to me? He has so much music, I have no idea where to begin. Its so experimental, I love it :)

  • try "You Are What You Is" or "Shiek Yer Bootie" also there are 2 live LPs "Live in New York" and "Roxy and Elsewere" They are both from the late 70s but excelent! Franks all time biggest LP is APOSTROPHIE

  • "One size fits all" and "Overnite Sensation" are a couple of good ones too.

  • "Hot rats", "Them or us", "We are only in it for the money", "200 motels"

  • synclavier is a (proprietary) computer music creation system, but all the processing power and memory is dedicated to the task.

  • it is the synclavier mixed with the Ensemble Modern....

  • This is aint the synclavier, this is Ensemble Modern.

  • Nah, its the ensemble sampled into the synclavier

  • pretty fuckin awesome

  • Hey stupidfukinshithead: you took the technical words right outta my mouth. 100% accurate, dude!

  • Terrific music. I have just bought the album, Civilization Phaze III. It's great! The things Zappa could do with that Synclavier are amazing. Listen to all those time shifts and tempo variations. It's very difficult to get these programmed right in the computer. Especially in those days. Nice work!
