HEY i have this same thing 8gb and i cant seem to find the video folder...the retard who had it b4me really fucked it up and im wondering what can i do to make it with the original folders so i can add video and photos...any help?

if you have windows media player then just plaug it in, open windows media player, and sync ur songs to the fuze...while veiwing the song/pic there is an opion to delete it.....pic,video, etc
16gb's know. I own this version myself. It's awesome; I'm able to store movies also, not the screen to watch a movie though for its size. I recently stored transformers 2, and it looks pretty good.
mp4 format. jUST DOWNLOAD the mp4 file from rapidshare library or megaupload. If you happen to have a psp, its the same format you use for the psp the one you use on a sansa view. It's simple. Download - unzippid file with winrar - then drag file to your sansa view either to you storage card or the internal memory of the device. EZ dude. I wonder why you cant use avi files? weird, but I have no idea why you can't. lol

It was VERY good at first, and i was happy with it,
but then it started to freeze, and every once and a while only the blue buttons would appear, then it wouldnt turn off. It also had problems turning on, and now, it only works when its plugged in, most the time if you unplug it, it will turn rigjt off, but sometimes it will stay on, but have a dead battery, no matter how long charged.
I also had problems with my view but some people told me that they didn't have any problems at all if you still have the warrenty on your view then I would call immediately but to me it just sounds like your battery is shot that is what I would guess
Did you ever have a problem with this damn thing duplicating songs?? I bought 2 and they were working fine but i had at one time like 120 songs then next thing you know i had like 600 but alot were duplicated
@britney561 I agree.....The menu and everything would freeze or hesitate every time i would resume playback from when it was off for more than a hour. so If someone could buy this turd from me awesome.....40 bucks
also, once i tried to do a video playback, it froze the entire sansa (just like the problem you had in the video). i turned it back on, and the screen froze and was fully white. i had to wait a few hours so it would run out of batteries and turn off.
i got my sansa refurbished, so i dont know if tahts the problem or not...but if you go to the settings on the sansa view, and you format it...it screws up the system - you get minor glitches; such as the song name doesnt change when the song changes itself
refurbished is really no different from new. the person who buys the sansa sends it back for some reason, then sansa fixes everything, so it's basically new, just cheaper cause someone's used it before.
im getting the same 1 tomarrow im shipping it to the store. this thing is soooo cool. my friend has one and its almost like he doesnt get to use it when im around
well i found out how to convert videos to my sandisk because i downloaded the media converter to my computer, clicked on the video file, and the converter did the rest =D
To answer your question they have the same sound quality. If you are looking for an MP3 for just sound I would definitely get the fuze. And also don't forget headphones play a big role in sound quality. SVvAT

I got the 16 gig for 125$ at walmart, because on the website it says it is that much. and at the store it is 140$. Well It just depends I mean if you keep it for a long time and listen to your MP3 alot sometimes you are in the mood for something different and it is just easy to have all the songs you want readily avaliable. SVvAT

Listen bro you have to go to albums/artists if you want to find a certain song not just search through songs. you also have a bad view mine doesnt lag. even after getting run over by a pickup truck.. i put a video response on there for you to watch. its funny

i'm kinda in a dilema. idk whether or not i should get this or an off-brand 8gb touch screen. i'm looking for something that can hold alot of music. play a few music videos. and maybe a couple of movies. what do you suggest. and it has to be near $100 cant go much higher
Dont get the off-brand touch screen b/c the calibration is usually horrible.. also most of them are hard to find songs and usually slow.. make sure you look at other products.. its like buying a car.. you dont buy the first one you see.. now for more music than anything i would look toward the Fuze.. take the look at the Fuze video.. tanks.. umm it depends on what you are wanting to use this device for... If for videos its is better than the fuse... but it is bigger and not the best for just music... it can take a while to scroll through your music so this might not be the best device out there... i recommend checking out Apple's products and also the Zune... These dont have the best updates and aren't updated as much as others... so check out all the other products before u make a purchase...
you don't need that certain converter, you can go on a search engine and search "Koyote Free video software" and click the first one or just or just look for one that says koyotesoft or go on the Koyote Soft website... Download and install, then make sure to only convert it only into the format of an MPEG video file.

Unlike other Sansa players, Sandisk did not continue to update the firmware of this player, unlike the Fuze which they have updated the firmware for.
Sansa is also now coming out with the Fuze+ which has a bigger and better screen then the old Fuze

mp4 would be your best choice, for its image resolution and easy transfer to the device.

The sansa view is a peice of crap.
ive never seen any mp3 with as many problems as this one.
It was VERY good at first, and i was happy with it,

it'll freeze up for mainly for 2 reasons
1:you have a deffective veiw
or 2: you didn't put the music/videos on there right, cuz you may need to convert the song/video to run better on your veiw
also i've only noticed to freeze ALOT when i have repeat on "all" and shuffle "on"

well, you have to scroll a lot, but two points:
1. ordering your titles wouldnt be bad
2. in the menu before u can chose eg. title, album or artist, so u can go for it faster!!
