It was an interesting turn when McCain talked about Russia's strength coming from "petro-dollars" and Obama was able to make the point that America's over-reliance on oil is largely to blame. We are addicted to oil, and if we were to drill off-shore, we wouldn't see gas prices drop for another 10 years. American scientists and engineers need funding to help them explore new energy possibilities. (Venezuela and Iran depend on oil revenues as well!)

I was speaking specifically on the talk times for this clip because someone said that McCain was talking in monologues instead of debating and I was just pointing out that Obama talked for almost twice as long as McCain did.
