online = never ending = go here, get that, kill this, take that there, go get summat of him to give to her to kill him blah blah blah etc etc etc and othe repetitive bone tasks to get gil and popularity....... from what i seen of 13 - - mega i cant wait - another in depth twisted story with a springer final thought and some crazy ass summons and souped up overdrives no doubt - but online you can put that with crystal chronicals...in the fuckin bin

Online isn't new. There was another Final Fantasy which was online also, I believe it was on the ShitBox 369

PC PS2 and later on Xbox360 yes, FFXI was released on all of those, and each system connected to teh same server so PS2 users could interact with PC players, and then Xbox360 users when that came around. So its pretty revolutionary as far as online goes

zack4strife, both FF 11 and FF 14 are from the same company so ai would say 14 is ripping off 11, i think the word your looking for is spinoff (i dont know if the story has any relation) or rehash, but i wouldnt really call it a rehash as the game franchise has show that every FF game is a different story a new exp level upgrade mechanics etc, if it were a rehash it would never survive being a video game form mid 80's to 2010 with FF 1-14

FFXIV is not coming to the xbox (or at least not yet). It is going to be released on the ps3 first and then the PC soon after, but SE are not planning on and xbox360 version yet. I'm glad I got a ps3 because of this and versus 13.
