  • What is keeping the metal molten hot while it's being poured?

It took a long time between taking it from the first stage to the pouring stage.

What kind of temperatures are they working at to keep it molten?

How does the molten metal not ruin the casting when it's being poured into it?

  • The pouring system was setup awsome. The melter's helpers were ready to do their part. I like the brass sample, but Iwould of done the sample after the skim and right after the temerature check. The setup was really clean. grate and "splash guard" jackets. sweet, nice clean, protective job,,

  • great video

  • Interesting safety equipment the men are wearing: respirators, face shields, reflective boots, gloves, and aprons.

  • Fantastic song, is there any additional heating gear in the crucible?

  • If they only pour brass in the mold how do they get the iron hand wheel on?

  • I'm sorry, I don't understand the question. Please rephrase and I will do my best to answer.

  • This is the body of the valve being cast in this video. There's still a great deal of finishing work to be done-machining,adding the ball or gate, and the stem, etc. The handwheel of the valve will be added during this finishing process.
