mr. latonio, the incredible music that you wrote for this movie was the "score" of my college days. i could still sing to every song. thank you so much for this amazing gift!
I am happy that after 3 decades of my first commercial venture as composer, people still are endeared to the movie and it's songs. Indeed I owe my career in movie scoring to Mike de Leon who really took a chance on newbies like Joseph Olfindo, Nonong Buencamino and myself.
This movie reminds me of my childhood vacations in Baguio...things were simpler then, more serene, more tolerable. Baguio became the city of my dreams--where the tolling of the Angelus bells heralded everyone to pause along Session Road..of Pines Hotel and Easter Weaving School...of Skyworld Condominium and the boat rides at Burnham Park. Memories of those beautiful days will never be forgotten--thanks to this movie!
Can you up load the theme song from this movie? it was also sung by Christoper De Leon..it has also the same title to the movie....i saw this movie back in 1977...the APO Hiking Society was also in this movie along with Bibeth Orteza among others...one of my all time favorite local films...would appreciate it..thanks..
so tell me is there anyone here who because of this movie, brought their romantic partner in baguio with this movie as inspiration? if you did, pareho tayo!!!! kilig to the bones!!!
isa ako sa biktima ng movie na ito! i fell in love with baguio, its trees, rain, fog, paths, houses, umbrellas, volks, old chapels...everything! buti na lang bago nag-close yung LVN naka-order ako sa kanila ng vhs copy of this movie!
If I were assigned in casting of American version of "Kung Mangarap Ka't Magising", I will choose Jared Padalecki of Supernatural for the role of Joey and Anna Paquin, Academy-award winner, for Anna.
I have one request: Please post the scene when Hilda enters the theater where Bibeth Orteza, Boyet De Leon, Buboy Garovillo and Danny Javier were rehearsing on the piano. That scene was really magical. Mike De Leon created a stunning effect on Hilda's entrance!
During the 70's , Hilda Koronel was the third actress after Nora Aunor and Vilma Santos. Rivalry among them was however focused on the 2 superstars while Hilda was distancing herself away and perhaps focusing herself on her studies at Maryknoll. While movie fans were hurling invectives in defense of their idol's acting prowess, Hilda's fans would be looking forward watching her classic movies like Insiang, Maynila, Kung Mangarap, Tatlo, and among others.
Nain-love ako sa movie na 'to. Simple lang ang atake. Hindi trying hard at hindi corny. Boyet and Hilda looked good together. 'Love ko din ang theme song. Mike de Leon is one top caliber director. His movies have varied themes and types and yet, he excelled in all of them. Intelligent...versatile...brilliant!
Ngayon ko lang napanood ito. Pero super addicting ang movie na ito. Pasok na pasok na pasok talaga. Mike De Leon! I salute you for making this film!

This is one of the great Pinoy movies of 1970s!
