It is Jan 20th, and all of this has been brought to my attention only a few short weeks ago. Is this true we don't have any more chances to get it passed? Plus there is a petition under the NORML website, for the Illinois chapter and there are only 500 signatures. That is terrible, there should be double and triple that amount!
They shouldve voted the way we played sprite back in the day. every one voting put ur head down raise ur hand if yes. without worry of someone else judging ur vote or your political pitfall. If the people cant vote on a referendum then what are we overpaying these heartless flip flopping bastards. Loved the end where he just lays it down with an id love to answer any of your questions. dumbasses!!!!!
So true, how can anyone vote against this Bill? Rep Lang speaks so many truths you don't hear uttered by most politicians these days. This is the kind of leadership we need in government. I hope this man continues to be in politics for a long time.
We were down in Springfield for this vote and it made us all sick in the gallery to watch these legislators lie about this medicine! Please help us get the last 4 votes! Our grassroots efforts are getting there, but without the people's help in Illinois, this bill will die on Jan. 11th 2010! This is the 3rd bill in 7 years we are trying to get passed! Please pick up the phone and call your house rep. And ask them to support SB1381! Thank you - Illinois patients cannabis association
Great speech but too bad it didn't pass. Now I get to remain in pain and suffer more. Thanks a lot politicians! For once quit worrying about yourselves and the "political fallout" and try and think about your constituents. If you guys lived w/ half the pain I do for just a few hours you'd change your minds yet I get to suffer w/ it 24 hours a day, 365 days a year for the rest of my life. I'd go ahead and smoke if I didn't have children, a wife & career to worry about loosing.
Thank you so much Lou Lang for being for a true representative of the people!
