Not sure how I like Holland, 1945 being played as some sort of happy, party song. It's not a happy song. It's heartbreaking. It's fine to cover the song, but if you're going to cover it, in my opinion you should try to keep the emotion of the song in mind.

Art is made to be enjoyed by people, there's a live video of Neutral Milk playing this where at the end Jeff and Scott completely mess around. Music's made to be enjoyed, if it tackles a sad topic that doesn't mean it can't be enjoyable.
