I love it! It feels like an old fashioned Sci-Fi show; and it's even cooler that it's your own. It looks like a lot of fun, I've always wanted to do something like this. I look forward to the first episode!
I don't know if you changed anything, but the space-outside-of-cockpit scenes look a lot more real. If you're not going for that "old sci-fi" look though, you should consider 3D animated ships. Looking good though.
