  • I'm really getting into this. Thanks so much.

  • You are welcome!

  • Hello Sir, Your lectures are really amazing and informative, sir i have a question

if i have a data of 100 Rows, obviously i have to scroll down the sheet to see the last row and obviously top rows will go up . Is there any way that first row remains at its place even i scroll down but the next following rows go up, so that i could see the headings. for example the cells in row 2 [person|wage|time in| Time out.....] doesn't goes up when i scroll down but the following rows goes up?

  • Great stuff mate.

I'm slowly working my way through your vids, but i have one urgent problem i need help with.

I have a stock control spreadsheet (units sold) which needs to be updated daily, but it only needs to keep a running total for the month. It would be best if i didn't have to have a column for every day of the month, so what would be the best way to add to the monthly total without having to do the calculation manually? I'd like to avoid having 31 columns and doing a simple addition.

  • SUMIF function. Try these video titles:

  • Hi thanks very much for your videos. I'm having a small problem (more aesthetics than anything else). I'm using Excel 2002 and when I click Print Preview and then exit it, Excel leaves a dotted line where the automatic page breaks are. I can't seem to remove these using the "Reset Print Area" or "Reset All Page Breaks" in the Page Break Preview. Any ideas? Thanks

  • I am sure that there is a better way than this:

Close the workbook then open it back up.

But that is the only way that I know of.

    Does anyone else know?

  • Heh, that was the way I eventually figured too. Guess the whole "switch it off and back on again" that has been with man since the dawn of time won't be leaving us anytime soon! Thanks for the quick reply

  • You are welcome!

  • @ExcelIsFun I just tried doing this to remove the automatic page break.

Go to page setup(Alt PSP),in fit to, delete the 1(by default)in both the boxes and hit enter.

Again use Alt PSP and re-enter the 1 in both the boxes and enter and by now the automatic page should be removed. I tried doing this using the keyboard shortcuts and it is really fast.

  • EXCELlent!!!!

  • Thanks again for the great stuff before I ask my question.

What should we do if we want the headings row to be repeated only in the second page but not in the other pages or in other words, what should we do if we want different rows to be repeated in different pages.

  • I do not know how to do that. Post your question to the Mr Excel Message Board:

  • Hello, which key is the "sp" key... it's not space is it? Every time I go to try to shortcut my way to page setup... ctrl p sp ... I can't find the sp and when I try space it doesn't work.

  • Dear geiko187,

    It is Alt + P + S + P. Each a separate key. 4 keys. Alt, then P, then S, then P.

  • using the formula "=cell(filename)" is also a useful feature but the names of the sheets do not update! What can we do to update?I know that you explained this in one of your videos but I can remember which one.

  • Dear planiolro,

I think you are asking about this video (it takes about CELL(filename):

  • Hi, How can I Print each column on each page?

My (Table) column has company name first, and then the address in different rows. I Want to print the company name on the top and then the address in bottom, in two lines. How can I do that?/ Thanks

  • Dear ekajnabee95,

I do not understand your question.

    --excelisfun

  • I mean, how can i print each row on each page?

lets say, first column says company name, (2nd col.) address, (3rd col.) city, (4th) zip code. And every row has different addresses. I want to print each row on each page, on top of the paper.

How can i do that?, I know its somewhere in FORMS or in LABELS but i can't figure it out.

  • Dear ekajnabee95,

I do not know how to print each row on a new page.

Are you asking how to print Labels, like Avery Labels? If so that would have to be done in Word with Mail Merge. I do not know how to do it in Excel.

  • Dear VinnyGracieScotty,

The other things you can do is to download the workbooks that accompany the videos. There are always notes in the spreadsheet about menu, ribbon and keyboard shortcut methods.

    --excelisfun

  • Dear VinnyGracieScotty,

I use keyboard shortcuts because they are much faster. In fact, keyboard shortcuts are so much faster that most 10 minute Excel tasks can be done in under 5 minutes with keyboard shortcuts. Over time, this is a profound time saver. These time savers help me to have extra time each day to make more YouTube Videos!!

However, I almost always explain the menu or ribbon method also. I will continue this in future video.
