Steven Seagal is awesome. It's kinda sad that now he's nowhere as successful as he was back then. But that seems to be the fate of most serious martial arts stars like Jean Claude Van Damme. On the other hand, there is Jackie Chan whose martial arts has an element of comedy in it. And maybe that's why he's still ticking.

Under Siege is real classic of Action films like Die Hard, Lethal Weapon, Rambo series etc. Steven Seagal was really at his best - amazing performance and fight abilities. Gary Busey was bad ass as always. I guess he was born for villain roles. And finally stunning Erika Eleniak - amazingly sexy and charming woman. I still can't believe she didn't become a huge superstar after this blockbuster. Erika was no less impressive than Sharon Stone, Kim Basinger or Madonna
well some parts of it are kind of ridiculous like the microwave thing, krill overlooking the fact that the battleship still has its full compliment of 16 inch shells aboard, the cake. but at the same time these things are what makes it awesome.
@zequelll About the cake scene. . . my sister had heard about this movie and moaned at me that "some woman got her breasts out". So when I got this out on video, I timed that scene. From when Erika jumps out of the cake to when Casey hustles her into the locker room? 30 seconds. 30 seconds out of a two hour moive.
@zequelll How is the cake ridiculous? About the microwave I don't think it's ridiculous. It was very lucky timing. What is ridiculous is Batman in The Dark Knight falling on a car, and he is not injured at all, or there was a Rambo movie not first hlood where he get's out of water, and then when he is shown again his hair is dry.
One of THE most underrated action scores EVER. No other score sounds like this one does. Ive loved it since I first saw the movie. Im so glad to see it has fans out there!

@PredatorBrendan Laying the smackdown is a art that Segal is amazing at. Marked For Death A lot of henchmen beat up, one of the most brutal villains that you hate Screwface as in he's satanic. Out for Justice, Hard To Kill thorbacks to the revenge movies. On Deadly Ground I think it's underrated Michael Cane is excellent seems like he's the Lex Luthor of Oil barons, lines are amazing, and takes on a Oil Coperation. A amazing line about Segals character
Fun Fact: The scene where the 1st President Bush is giving a speech was not stock footage. It was a scene actually filmed for the movie making Bush Sr. the first and to date only U. S. president to appear in a feature film while still in office.

What was Tommy Lee Jones thinking. Honestly he can't even annoy Seagal in a fight. All he did was give him a cut other than that Segal trounced Jones easily. Jones talked a bunch a trash about Navy Seals yet without a gun he was incapable of annoying a former Navy Seal, and got owned.
So to give two metaphors. Jones bit off more than he can chew, he was all bark no bite.
Sure he killed Navy Seals that was with a gun but when it came to having defeat a foe without the use of his gun Segal made him a no talent chump amatuer that got bulldozed.
Such a shame this was never made into a video game. Be so excellent to be Ryback kill the thugs of Stranix, and the climax against Stranix just like the movie in a knive fight.
