I was impressed with video studio 10 and bought version 11 because I lost the key code and wanted to install it on new PC. The programme crashes a lot, so I find it helpful to save the project A LOT :-) but am still very happy with the things it can do, including J-cuts and L-cuts or whatever those things are called. It's a bit more limited than, say, Final Cut, but then again it's heaps cheaper, too. All my videos have been edited with Ulead -now Corel Video Studio

My experiance with Ulead has been AWESOME!!!!

alotof my previuse softwares would freeze and crash all the time..but I have NEVER had Ulead 11 crash yet.(and I do some pretty complicated stuff to).I am now head-ache free,thanks to Ulead video studio 11.

Actually Sony Vegas is suppose to be the most stable program out there. Sony Vegas has only froze a couple of times in the hundreds of times I used it. Sony Vegas is a good stable program but it doesn't edit .mov files or mpeg 4 files and its dumb. I have the Sony NSC-GC1 Net Sharing Cam and my Sony Software cant edit the Mpeg 4 Files from the camera.

I read the Amazon reviews of this program and its actually suppose to really good like Sony Vegas. Also being more stable than Nero or Pinnacle.

there are many thins i dont like about this number 1 being the audio is makes it quite diff if you record your sound sep to your vid i also use adobe prem 6.5 and i prefer that to ulead. jus remember too many many effects on a project is only showing off what your pc can do and not showing what you can do.....

You can't really compare Videostudio and Premier, videostudio is aimed at the home user premier at the professional. I love VS because it's so easy to use yet still very powerful, it's ideal for someone starting video editing.

Adobe 6.5 is an old program it can't take any of the new formats including hdv and many types of sound, also 6.5 has very little in the use off effects and no render as you go uled can do more in that respect i agree uled is easy to use but so is 6.5 i lernd it with out instructions pritty quick and its my first editing program on pc if the audio was better on uled it would be my choice of programs. I just dont like how you cant hear the audio while scrolling, it makes sep audio diff to line up

What version of VS are you using ?, I have 11.5 plus and when the video is in the timeline you can hear the sound as you scroll through, I'm sure it was that way in v 10 as well, don't know how it compares to other packages but i found it fine when doing a project recently where i had to edit a lot of audio.

Using 11plus looking at the new upgrade. when you use the button to move it one frame or hold the video bar to scroll on uled i hear no sound but in Adobe i hear 1 frame of audio at the same time Was your audio from a field recorder or frome the same sorse as the video. Im talking about a fild recorder or adding in a mp3 song 2 the same song playing in the backgroung of the vid to the exact frame. maby away 2 turn it on and off in uled but i doubt it.

The price for Ulead Video Studio is just right, do'nt expect too much from it, it's not that expensive because it has few features. Not expensive, few features. Expensive, lots of features. All i can say is, it's so easy to use. It's a user friendly.

mmmm, i dont agree with that video, i have that and i still cant figure out how to get those damn videos to save. i click share, and i've done all of the choices, but none of them work, i've tried all i can, but nothing works

I got the 30 day trial version but after the first hour after a reboot it wanted the program payed for to continue use.

I never got to trial it and seriously doubt its any good after that shonky move !
