this is probably the best vocal performance of this song ive ever heard from Sharon, but it just makes me sad that after the Mother Earth album, this band just seemed to lose their shine.

Songs like Mother Earth and Ice Queen are what set Within Temptation apart, but these days with the last 2 albums, i dunno, i guess there just like 90% of the other bands in this genre, even Sharons distincive vocals have been dimmed down to a gereric female rock vocal, nothing unique, just mediocre.

@Adrytl no, ur totally right, they should evolve and move on but i just feel theyve lost a lot of their old musical essence in the process. Dont get me wrong, i do really like these guys,theyre great musicians and seem to be lovely people. I just miss the times when they were more about the mystical themes and the music was easier to escape into. Its just my opinion that the last album in particular was just quite bland and straightforward, There were a few gems on it i liked like Iron though :)

I dont like the new outfits she wears...they are so ungothic....but seeing the pregnancy, I say what the hey... it is not easy nor advisable to wear the corset at this time.... I hope she reverses back to her beautiful 18th century dresses when she has the baby.... and all these strass in her outfits....is weird...but I LOVE her nonetheless....
