@terawattz U took the words right outta my mouth. This was my joint back in the days! Not sayin Jay-Z's or Chip's & Chillout's versions weren't dope, but the way KC did this song was dope & original!

That dance KC does in this vid is still the shite! David was cool as he'll to roll wit this at a time when sampling was starting 2 take some flack. Good times - great memories. thanks 4 posting!
I loved the album "In Flightt" (sic), but I can't listen to it anymore because of the memories that it evokes. I want very, very badly to go back to 1988-1989, but it's impossible, of course. Peace.
Ya ya..great to see da pioneer video of KC-Flight's Planet E, luckily for me I ordered a cd single that I know have and I was soooooo happy to pay 40eur fot it....yea yea sur I know quite soon one can download allmost averything as mp3 but still, I ilke the keep the physical "prints" of these mge-blasts as audio cd formar nad let the mp4, mp3, wma follow behind....one of the best ewwa! Respect!
Not too sure about that. Although K-Yze had the slammin "Stomp" track, that's all he had. KC FLightt had "Let's get jazzy"-his first and a classic, this one, and who could forget "Voices". Not many of those Hip House artists had as many bangers and classics under their belts. I say KC Flightt FTW!
StanDuppenShout1 said it best about this video. But remember this track was in the beginning stages of Hip_House at its best when it was accepted at the term. Hip-Hop artist back in the days, when HOUSE music was formed, didn't want to acknowledge this type of genre. But let alone that Hip Hop was NOT recognized how it should be as well. Now at this time of age, WE all know what HOUSE music is. HIP HOP is forever as well as HOUSE music.
Dude, this was the FIRST house joint I bought. I bought it on cassette single til my cousin told me, no you fool - you get it on record! real Hip House pioneer, for real....
Aint' that hot how David Byrne from Talking Heads joined him on this?
2 things: 1.Holy shit. I think that's actually David Byrne in the video. 2. This was a great album. I still lisnd to it during college in '93-94. It had a lot of cool jazzy sounds and like floaty chill flutes and ambient electronica elements. Waayy b4 I ever heard the term "retro-futurism" as a genre. Even the "hot" and "lovey" songs seemd 2 have some sincerity to the romance of the vocal and lyric. Videos definitely take away from music, but sonically I think this guy laid down some cool talent
Whats up KC ,Remember we were driving into a U turn in Teneck NJ.Then got jacked up on the side walk from those racist cops. Flashback from Harry and E.
Such a conceptual record with a video that only hints at the subject matter. At least David Byrne got his proper credit..maybe a little too much with that silly haircut! :0
Used to come on Yo! MTV Raps all the time, what are you talking about?
I had to come check the video to see which mix it used, because I got the 12" just now, and was about to think I got gypped, but it was the house mix (2nd on side A)
what happened to this guy?
anyway the beat was too weak for me to get into, even though i know it had some message
