another great video that making me think i will never sell this sampler...anyone choosing an MV 8800 is making an inteligent choice and is living with his time .
Or is the 128mb for sample memory only? I need a prodution workstation to help me produce my music, and this might be it. But having only 128mb to work with at a time (without the expansion) is kinda limited. PS, can I monitor the input levels while Im in record mode? Maybe a multitrack recorder is more what I should be looking into??
@drum4life42 - Sorry for the slow reply. Did you find your answer? Call the store and ask to speak with Adam. He is our Pro Audio/Keyboard guy. If he does not have the answer, he can get a hold of out rep and get you the information you need.
I do a lot of my own sampling/recording... Will this suite me if Im going to be recording 3-5 mins of vocals per song, along with my drum machines/synths? I need something that I will be able to use as a multitrack recorder as well as a sampler. Can I do this by recording all my own samples/instruments that Im going to use for that specific song and save it directly to the hard disk rather than the 128mb? The 128mb will only be one song, maybe slightly more, and this is a big problem for me.
I'm glad I saw this video, becuase I bought the Mv 8800 2 years ago, but I am seriously confused on how to use it, until I saw this video. Thnak you so much!
Imagine doing all of that on a PC as opposed to having a nice piece of hardware to bang it out on. This is why I bought the MV, and never went back to the PC. It has a formidable learning curve but after diving in I'm almost done with a complete rock album that I did entirely on the MV. The drumming is particularly convincing, even to a drummer, thanks to the 128-velocity sensitive pads on this bad boy. The MV rocks!
@joetunon So true. Same reason I bought mine and still never got into the various software packages that exist. I only use software occasionally for their plug-in instruments.
