  • the rhythm of the verses are similar, but its not that similar

  • i think that they are similar its just in different octaves and using different like sounds

  • But still I find that the beat fits best with gd songs. But that's because I like gd more -3 don't mean to be nasty or something

  • Florida are the same the only difference is that the tone of gd songs is higher

  • And f

  • First of all I love G-dragon more than florida but if you listen at the begin of the song you can hear that the beat of gd

  • Maybe it's because I favour G-Dragon more than Flo Rida but they don't sound anything alike. Okay, maybe the last part of the rap in Flo Rida's "Right Round" sounded like G-Dragon's tune for Heartbreaker (Like, the tune for Heartbreaker sounded A BIT like the last part in the rap) but that's like it. And that's for like, what? 5 seconds? So to be fair, G-Dragon didn't copy anything! Maybe FLO Rida's an inspiration for him and that's why it's similar. S'not like he stole the entire tune, did he.

  • It doesn't sound the same at all. I can't hear any similarities?!?! What's the big issue?!

  • @sherawr06

I mean, there is a huge amount of similarities in the beginning rap, honestly i am a HUGE fan of Big Bang and GD, and i'm not trying to say "Oh GD took the exact beat of this song and used Flo Rida's song just for his own good". I'm pretty sure it was a coincidence and its a good thing that the industry freed him of all charges and that he is still strong to this day. But yeah, there are similarities which fans have to realise and take in, because GD had to take it like a man too.

  • Wth...It doesn't sound same. :L

  • dude flo rida is american and g dragon is korean so even if the beats sound the same which they dont the 2 different songs still dont even mean the same thing!

  • @Crissy6208

    haha i agree!

  • I think I am the only one that doesn't hear the similarity to both these songs, beside Flo Rida already said that it was different and the two songs aren't the same.

  • Starting from 00:19 and 00:55 they kinda sound alike though

  • ...they don't sound alike at all

  • LOL... Dead or Alive - You Spin Me Round (Like a Record).

Check it up, 55 seconds... its a 80's classic, did Flo Rida really try to sue him??? If he did I'm surprised he had the guts to do that after what he's doing.. and they even did a collab? Come on...

  • So he supposedly copied a song that's a copy of another song and people are getting pissed? Get over it..

  • look.... i dont care if he copied or not, music is meant to pleaase the public.

do re mi fa sol la si do.

its not easy to invent something new that doesnt seem like something we know with these seven notes.... try that -_______________________________-

  • ._. then don't sound alike...just because they have the same beat.

But hey! industrial music also has similar beats if you compare it to other songs o_o

  • of course is not a plagiarims or that xD, just a little short part of the rap is similar, but if you want to say that he copy the song the music, Have to sound or be the same like the other and the, (i don't know how it say) muic notes have to be the same!, he's an author!!, he don't need the fame of other artis to be more famous!

  • The big music comanies like SM and YG buy the song and remakes them. For ex, Keysha gave SNSD run devil run. Plus GD would never copy someone else. he produces most of his songs.

  • They dont sound alike o.o well not to me

  • its different

  • if your A REAL MUZIC LOVER then you know what's the truth and music is everything~ listen to SNSD's run devil run and Kesha's run devil run~ :P

  • How come to me no difference o.o o.o o.o o.o I am sure im not dumb. it doesnt sound the same.

  • i don't believe it ! GD would never do that ! he's the best !! Maybe , it's just an accident !!!!!

  • Hmmm.... Nope. Not the same to me. G-Dragon is the G dawg. He got his own unique swag and style. He's awesome.

  • yeahh just a little in rap part, but the chorus is totally different, but it us not plagiarism

  • I didn't find them similar at all... Not just saying that because I'm GD biased but, I think that it's just been blown all out of proportion. Chorus is so different!!! Stupid media... Always saying idiotic things...

  • It's just the rap that sounds similar, but definitely NOT the chorus.

  • DIFFERENT!

  • i don't find them similar how can this me plagiarism? -__-

  • i honestly did not even know they sounded even remotely the same until i saw the news about it o-o

  • i personally dont think is plagiarize. as what ppl says here it's just some part hv the same beats ..when u try to listen its totally different song.

  • acctually you can't even make a song today because there are to many and one song will allways be alike another, that's the way =P

  • I would have never thought of Right Round(which is a song I like btw) when I first heard Heartbreaker and I still don't think the songs are similar and anyway both are great songs! And I agree with what has been said below, I think about some other songs that seem more than similar and I never heard any plagiarism issue was raised for them.

  • Honestly the way people talk about these two songs I thought they would sound a lot more a like:/ I don't see how this warranted plagiarism accusations because I have heard lots of rappers rap in that rhythmic pattern, everyone knows the Right Round chorus is not Flo Rida's original work anyway and I have heard songs that are MUCH more similar than this that have never faced plagiarism accusations....weird.

  • the only reason dumb asses think gd copied flo rida is cuz he's rapping in a TRIPLET rhythm in heartbreaker, that flo rida used for his song as well. flo rida did not create this type of rhythm lol

  • lol try the comparsion to this song to you sping me round like a record by Dead or Alive - You Spin Me Round (Like a Record vs flo-rida you spin me right round, lol tell me i think its copying but thats my opinion

  • Until I heard about the big thing going on around these songs, I didn't think Heartbreaker sounded anything like RIght Round...

  • LOL okok personnally i dont hear the difference... im probably deaf or something XD seriouslly cant hear the similarities

but apparently g-dragon / his company got swed cause it was the exact same beat or something :/

  • Well plagiarism is taking a song and claiming its yours. Flo Rida OBVIOUSLY bought the rights to change the song before making his own version, that's how you properly do things in the music business, so leave Flo Rida alone about being unoriginal. We all know G-Dragon is too talented to plagiarize and that the charges were eventually cleared. Stop getting so sensitive and bashing Flo Rida and insulting the video poster. It doesn't make you anymore of a G-Dragon fan -_-...

  • it has a similar beat but the words are completely different.

in any case I am glad FloRida and GDragon worked it out

  • Flo Rida's song is plagiarising Dead or Alive song "You Spin me Round" . I think Dead or Alive should sue Flo Rida! Go listen to "You Spin me Round" an 80's song by Dead or Alive and see what I mean.

  • @kimotaco that's why the video poster is an idiot. he should've done his homework first before posting this video and make himself look stupid! lmao!!

  • g-dragons is better

  • The only thing I'll say to this is: Dear or Alive - You spin me round (like a record).

  • each song have their own Swag!

  • Eh... I think at the MOST GD got inspiration from the song, but he didn't copy it...

  • flo rida even featured in heartbreaker so it didn't mean anything

  • Ridiculous... Not even close!!

  • lol if G-DRAGON plagiarized Flo Rida, than Flo Rida plagiarized Dead or Alive [ remember the song You spin me round (like a record)?]

    G-DRAGON is AWESOME!!!

  • Wish you hasn't said Right Round Feat. Ke$ha.... that makes me annoyed. specially after she wanted my city to be named WauKe$ha for a day..

  • The choruses don't sound alike to me. The beginnings do, but that beat's pretty easy to copy on accident.

Anyway, Flo Rida said it doesn't sound plagiarized, so we're all good.

  • @99Mahou hahah! not at all. what a dumbass video poster! he should first get ears surgery before getting into music business. lol!

  • Right round sounds sickkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk and GD hella rockssssssssssssssssssssssssssss

  • A whole lot of crap gets thrown around by the music industry when it comes to plagiarism; but let's get one thing straight - the vast majority of copyright watchdogs in the North American side of the industry are damned hypocrites. Did they give credit when Elvis and the Beatles covered songs that skyrocketed them to fame? Did they give credit when "artists" like Flo Rida, Kesha, Lady Gaga, and Jason Derulo blatantly sampled tracks from or just plain ripped them off?

    Yeah. I didn't think so.

  • @iceebloodviolin LMFAO who invented peace signs LOL

  • music wasn't created yesterday people surely some songs will sound fmailiar >.< And FYI Florida and G-D made a version together of G-D's heartbreaker....so yea..LONG LIVE G-DRAGON

  • lol coming from a rap fan, they arent similar at all, flo rida is faster than GD plus right round is a sampled track, i dont think heartbreaker is

  • i think im tone deaf. i cant hear any similarities. :O

  • Flo Rida is STILL a peice of shit for not paying Kesha for being in his song.

  • @silversnowsnake What did you say your ... is gay

lmao but she gave birth to you (mother fucker)

  • Its not like the singer's fault... the composer copies the song not the singer

  • @jirachai0804 Depends, american singers dont make their songs themselfs. But Asian stars do. They do everything temself! They earned fame themselves. the americans did not. and they are still more famous. Silly as it sounds.

  • @Miraniitti No. There are americans who write their own songs. Get it right. And I may not be as huge into kpop as others, but I do know a lot of their artists don't write their songs either. So it's pretty equal on both sides.

  • @OMGshinypennies Bigbang makes their own songs. Shinee and SuperJunior also does. And many others, and what you said just made me laugh, Like who? Well? Justin bieber? No. Flo Rida? kesha? Rihanna? Nope.

  • @Miraniitti Lol, I knew Bigbang makes there own, but are you sure Super Junior and Shinee make their own? And no duh JB doesn't make his own. He's Usher's little lacky. Mainstream its basically Lady Gaga, Eminem, B.O.B, etc. But I wasn't talking so much mainstream. I'm thinking more along the lines of the music thats acually good over here, and thats music from the rock/alternative bands? I'm not bashing anyone here, so don't get so offended. I'm just both sides are pretty equal for it.

  • @OMGshinypennies Mainstream was what I mostly meant.

Well, I do know one really good band from there, the fray. probably the only ones I like from there. :D

    - Peace ! :D

  • ooh wow everybody can steal that beat

  • yeah!!! is hip hop!!! también tienes que fijarte en eso pues!! los dos son el mismo RITMO!!

  • lol they cleared GD of all charges!!!! IN YOUR FACES! :D

  • Bleh either way.... they both are great songs so leave it alone..

  • seriously, i dont have any hearing problems. but gdragon did not copy florida.

  • the rap part sounds to be a very similar beat but i would have never noticed unless they pointed it out :s honestly i think if they r both good songs why bother with this kinda feud. go BB and flo rida !

  • GD rocks!!

  • but their indivitual styles are so different! I dont think it's plagerism. I hear them as inidiviual songs too...

  • hmmm..you see the songs actually sound alike in the meter, but not in the actual music. so its not plagarism. they music doesnt sound alike at all.

  • It's so obvious that heartbreaker is an original one.

Even flo-rida proves that it's not copied and actually florida feat in the new version.

Why people have to blame GD on this, when even flo-rida proves he's innocent?

  • erm flo-rida personally claimed that it wasnt copied.

    BB ALL THE WAY~~

  • sounds very different... xept that gd's butterfly is indeed a bit similar to oasis's she's electric...

  • Serioulsy I never knoew that was Ke$ha wow I mustof been smoking crack for 2 years or something..

  • /watch?v=tdUijG7Xxow guys just check out this link. they did the song together

  • flo rida plagiarisd to from dead or alive by making a better a version..

  • i dont think it was plagierized. i agree that the beat dose sound similar though..

  • HEY GD IS NOT plagiarism........!!!!

  • Uhh... This whole thing is tragic. Flo rida, or whatever his name is, has stolen the song right round anyway.

Yes, there are similarities, but that beat or rhythm isn't exactly new anyway. Jesus Christ.

Right round (You spin me right round) is Dead or Alive's song.

  • @ASXray G-Dragon Ft. FloRida - Heartbreaker now dont u look like a dumbass

  • To tell you the truth, and this only my opinion, but I really don't see any real kind of similarities. Maybe just a small one at the beginning but other than that I don't call it plagiarism at all. Maybe it's just me but I don't think GD should get in trouble for something like this and that's not just because I'm one of BB's and GD's fans. I'm just saying what I think and What I heard is all. :]

  • It didn't even sound the same that much. I only thought the beginning sounded close but that's all. People make such a big deal about it gosh....ugghh..

  • Big Bang in the start was awesome

But now they're getting gayer and gayer man

Only Tae Yang is good ;O

  • Well, im a HUGE fan of BigBang. And i dont think it's a big deal that this happened. Right Round isnt an original song in the first place, so i dont see any harm. Besides, most people didnt even know they were this alike! ;P But, apparently it doesnt matter since GDragon and FLo Rida made a duet/mix type of thing anyways? :)

  • sometimes companies do stuff like this to get publicity for both artists and therefore sell more albums and songs and whatnot

if this gets out itll give flo rida more publicity in korea and gdragon in america. thats the whole idea behind it

hmm im just ramblin here :) good be a possibility tho

  • Thats why Flo rida and Gdragon make a collab! in heartbreaker :P You losers

  • honestly, the only similarities i can hear are in the verses.

and even those are easily distinguishable.

the only similarities are the rapping styles.

the beats are different, the music is different.

    everything is different!

    the choruses are completely DIFFERENT!

  • bet he doesn't even mind he has more fans, not an insult.

  • Whatever, the industry today makes the artists lose certain kind of originality. We no more could tell the differences

Maybe they can just imitae Missy Elliot totally seculding from the outside when she compose and creating out the music of her real own. And that would be called the real AWESOME

  • well they made a collab so its all good xD

  • lol, actually sony should pay gdragon for making flo ri da known to those who never knew he existed. flo ri da who?

  • Comment removed

  • wow. i see the similarities here but still. they cant just automatically blame GD for plagiarism. What if it was HIS song that HE wrote and he DIDNT know about Right Round. GD worked so hard as a leader of Big Bang, a songwriter, a rapper, a musician, and a solo aritist for his new album and this is what he deserves? GD created Heartbreaker himself and Flo Rida just sang what Sony gave him and took credit for it. Both songs are amazing but America's Sony Entertainment is just being hypocritical.

  • Ah I see now. The first parts do sound very similar.

But the chorus sound nothing alike...

  • i dont think The songs have the same beat.

You are all discussing just sop and getet a bit of brain u guyz will understand like 1 million of songs or more have almost same beat.

    Its my opinion.

  • i dont know what everyone thinks, but didnt flo rida kinda copied the song 'you spin me right round like a record'? so flo rida did the 'copying' thing first right? well to me, thats what i think. so gd can do whatever he wants cause flo rida didnt create the whole song himself.

  • he didnt copy...he got permission to use the song and made a "spin off" kind of thing out of it

  • so what if one part sounds similar? its always KOREANS PLAGIARIZE AMERICANS. AND NEVER THE OPPOSITE.

go listen to Kesha's Take It Off and Hyori Lee's Toc Toc Toc. THAT is called plagiarism. But nooooo american's are too racist to admit they copied of korean singers, instead they say the koreans copy them.

GO GD ILOVEYOU bigbang hwaiting <3

  • umm... i dont really hear the same beat or any thing 2 me it sounds different

  • flo rida jst paid sony so that he cud put gd's song down the charts...bt that will never happen bcuz heartbreaker is the best.... he is jst envious of gd being at the top charts and all

  • i grew up in the US and i don't know Korean, but G-Dragon's songs still sounds so much better!

  • uhm ..... there's a thing called sampling .. i dont think its plagiarism, it's sampling gosh . Flo rida samples so why cant GD. i mean a lot of artists sample. Besides its plagiarism if the lyrics are wayy too similar but its not .. the instrumental just sounds the same in a way.

Sampling - one sound recording and reusing it as an instrument or a different sound recording of a song

  • IF NO GD THEN NO BIG BANG )':

  • besides, how many songs can you POSSIBLY make with eight notes in a scale. besides, the tempos are completely different. also the lyrics and melodies are NOTHING ALIKE

  • uhhhh a lot...

depending on how many notes are in a typical song..

if there are 100 notes (obviously there's more) and using a range 4 octaves there are 32^100=3.2733*10^100 different possible compilations (now not all of these possibilities can't be songs cuz the melody wouldn't work, but it shows just how MANY songs can be made with 8 notes (which doesn't include sharps or flats). But I agree with you on the fact that the lyrics and tempo is different.

  • GD is the BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • what's wrong with that??.. Gdragon is innocent.. he simply makes great songs.. and dang!.. many are jealous about his.. plus, there are many songs now adays that sound familiar^^, right!?

  • Isn't "Right Around" an unoriginal song itself?

  • Yeah the original is technically Dead or Alive

Song: You spin me round(like a record)

  • @sweetshroom IKR It's called sampling. That's why they beat is similar.

  • @sweetshroom but Flo Rida didnt remake the song either, he just sampled, theres a difference.

  • This is not even similar to heartbreaker. The only thing that ˝sounds˝ similar is the way they sing first part of song but the melody and everything else is different.

  • okay you want a true plagiarism?

Search up "Craig David - insomnia" (original singer)

then search up "Whee sung - insomnia"

now that's a real plagiarism, does anyone care? don't think so, even if GD did plagiarize (Not saying he did) he at least made the song better. FLO rida should be honored to have GD making a better version of his crappy song.

  • you make me lol. craig david was actually the one that asked whee sung to sing a korean version of his song. he got permission, as he was personally asked by CRAIG DAVID HIMSELF. lawl.

  • @ItsRainingOutside

    Proof?

  • info came out about him doing the song cause craig david asked him to even BEFORE wheesung released the song

    allkpop[d0t]com/index[d0t]php/full_story/wheesung_vs._craig_david/

if you dont trust allkpop, here is another news article

    grooveasia[D0T]com/news/5943/Wheesung-to-hold-concert-in-Japan

it's in craig david's single wikipedia

    as well as wheesungs

is that enough PROOF for you? just google it.

  • i probably bet that gd ever heard of flo rida

  • music is still music , it is still the same . all that matters is that we like/love the songs or not. despite this i am still a big fan of G-Dragon and Big Bang; they are still my number one favorite band/singers [: Go YG Family <3

  • both songs are good ..........

  • Comment removed

  • The beats are similar. Not the same though. GD's still better.

PS, I'm Canadian, White. The whole racist shit, not my style. All pop music basically sounds the same to me.

  • Really? Do we really need this stupid dispute? As many people have stated, the beats are different. And it irritates me that Flo Rida is suing GD for Heartbreaker, when he himself used "You Spin Me Round" in "Right Round" and has had no lawsuits come his way.

    GD all the way. <3

  • @dairyboy3065 i think flo rida and g dragon planned this cause theres heartbreaker remix where flo rida sings with gd

  • @dairyboy3065 G-dragon is NOT a plagarizer because Flo Rida is featured on his new version of Heartbreaker, so don't be ashamed of him! :(

  • @dairyboy3065 /watch?v=tdUijG7Xxow take the space out. they did heart breaker together ~!!!!

  • guys the pitches are different in heartbreaker its higher. in flo rida's its lower.

    so its not plagiarism

  • i think alot of people here need to chill out :P

if you ask me, its not the same, its a similar beat

thats all, alot of songs do that..

so before all you white people go off and blast korea for crap :) at least they have naturally talented people who actually sing well. alot of english music these days is people who just has a lot of mixing and cant sing live at all XD

oh and for the record im 100% english. not asian and i live in the uk. i just think alot of you need to get a life :P

  • to all u korean haters out there. FUCK YOU we're part of asian so if u hate us then u hate all asians and u should give back out sony things since its made by us so go fuck urself

  • isnt all pop music basically hav the same beats? they just mix it all differently besides big bang copied many things and so hav american songs including florida. its just a stlye going on. big deal. i think they should be happy with there songs cuz alot of ppl giv them credit. and theyre fans are all that matter. including myself. XD isnt that everything they need? fans and love? besides; ppl hating on koreans are just jealous we thEE rappers in this generation(((:

    HWAITING!

  • ok there alike in some aspects big whoop. So many songs today have so many similarities that they should be considered plagerism but no they don't care. but as soon as one asian artist goes and makes a song that has a few similarities to an english song and its the end of the world like what the hell. Seriously they should get there faces out of there ass already this is pathetic.

  • compare the drumbeats o.O

  • They get permission and pay royalities for them. GC did not get permissions, like normal korean entertainment, this is not the first time and it wont be the last. I live in Korea, they dont have any sense of copyright or trademarks at least to outside things. Its perfectly fine to copy a big brands tademark or use a stars name to sell things. I think GD is better then this, it realy saddens me.

  • get the fuck out of Korea. who the fuckever you are. maybe your head is so fucked up to get a job where the fuckever you come from. so be greatful to korea or get the fuck out.

  • Wow, this is why people dont like Korea. Please don't let this person make you think badly of Koreans. Lots are super nice but like all countries there are idiots that ruin is for everyone else.

  • hey. you think you know about korea? im gona trace you down find you and break your fucking head. so shut the fuck up or leave korea you fucker

  • dude (funkyvixen) you dont know any thing bout korea so SHUT UP!!!!!!!!

  • You idiots really make me laugh. How dare I say Koreans are super nice, i must not know anything. Koreans, the crybabies of the world. I would love to see the outlandish and overdramatic reaction if a American singer was accused of the same thing with a Korean song. We would never hear the end of it.

  • lets drop it SERIOUSLY

  • They're basically accusing them for plagiarism based on the way they're singing. Dude, this double standard is crazy. Almost every rnb singer in USA now use the same patterns but seems like its okay for them.

  • well see the FloRida version is also taken from the old Sugarbabes track ... EXACTLY>

    GD is different.

  • The composer to Right Round is pathetic for accusing G-Dragon of anything. The rhythm is the only thing that is a BARELY similar but the song and the melody is COMPLETELY different! Even more pathetic is that the Right Round composer himself is copying "Dead or Alive - You Spin Me Round." What an unoriginal idiot.

  • I COULDN'T HAVE AGREED MORE. Thank you for mentioning Dead or Alive!!!

  • G-Dragon is so much better, and the beat goes better with G Dragon's Heartbreaker. It is possible too that G Dragon did this on accident, because the beat isn't all that great and it is simple.

  • yeah the 2 songs sounded alike ......heartbreaker copied the song right round from flo rida obviously ........ the beat, rhythm, and the tempo are alike ...

  • they sound alike!!!!

  • the only thing that sounds similar is the fast rapping at the beginning

  • i agree with comment below me, but sadly the warner;s brother (i think it was) has annouced that GD has plasurized 30second song of flo rida, (it might get changed,) and there is lot of complain about this from lots of people

  • when i listened to Heartbreaker by itself i sort of saw the connecion but when you put the 2 together they're nothing alike =/

  • Dude it doesn't even sound a like. Why is the world so DEAF???? Heart breaker is faster and Right round is like so slow. Besides i don't think you can dance to Right round but You can dance to HEARTBREAKER. GD WINS. Sorry but I don't see any comparison. A teen vs an adult?? That's stupid. HEARTBREAKER IS ABOUT A BROKEN HEART AND RIGHT ROUND IS ABOUT GETTING A GIRL. NO SIMILIAR IN LYRICS EITHER.

  • heartbreaker is much cooler and it doesn't sound alike to right round..the beat is different........

  • Well i think they sound nothing alike at all. G-Dragon <333333333333

    Flo rida suuxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

  • Well thats pretty much complete denial from a fan...it means nothing

  • YAY!! GO G-DRAGON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

you know G-dragon wrote his song years before Flo rider did but he couldn't recored it because he had to work with his band BIG BANG!!

    YEAHHHHHH!!

  • I can't sing right round to heartbreakers beat..

  • the beat is different

  • i also think they are fairly similar but gd's has a different feel to it.....

they are different tho.....can't properly explain it b/c i don know the worsd to say >>....

  • intro sounds alot alike. but rest of the song is different.
