  • but here is the new situation with the xbox 360 slim the coolling vents are now on the sides meaning that you would have to put it vertically!!!

  • @TheNBATube that's friggin gay... logically the best way to put it is on its side so there's less chance of it tipping over

  • @coolbluelights wow really thats gay

  • good idea!

  • 0:37 "You see all those?"... well, to quote Ray Charles, "I can't see s***!"

I think an Xbox works best when standing up... in a garbage can. :-P

  • well it was dark, but there are holes there lol I've never had a problem with mine. the most problematic console I have is my NES, but that's due to the connector flaw they all had

  • i wanna get one and try oil cooling it

  • that would be the shit rite there lol

  • hahahahaha i wanna see that

  • if i could get an xbox donated i'd do it lol

  • lol would be a funny vid and a cool one if it worked

  • Love how people are dumb having it vertical ALSO scratches discs !!!!!!

  • yeah, that's what causes the RROD

  • hey buddy get on AIM but yeah i know and why would they put the collinig holes in the bottom dumbasses

  • to bad you couldn't put your Xbox360 and computer in a Freezer! lol lol then it would stay super chilled, lol lol i know they have the water cooling tubes for PCs, but i can't see risking water leaking inside my PC! i did see one setup that was cool on the internet, the guy had a port that allowed his PC to suck in cold air from outside in the winter time! then he closed it off in the summer, and let the house AC keep it cool, also i hate when electronic companies pick form over function!

  • yeah, they use a non-conductive fluid, like glycerin or something so if it does leak it won't hurt anything

  • Maybe they should fit a cooling fan.We had the same problem with digital displays when l worked on the railway, because they got too hot, they all went bang!

  • Aaah, That's the same reason why laptops keep breaking down. The cooling fan is on the bottom, so when you got it sitting on the table or on a bed or something, the fan gets blocked off and it overheats.

I always keep an eraser under the one corner so it gets proper airflow.

  • ya i agree with the stupid locations of fans and cooling vents, but the ridiculous thinness of labtops is also another reason why they overheat, i mean, sure its nice to have a thin electronic device that is small and thin and easy to transport, but many electronics tip the scale, and go way too thin, or way too small, then over heating occurs because when they make them that thin and small, there is no more space for air to move! form over function isn't the greatest thing!

  • My xbox got the read ring, and it has always been standing like your does now. The motherboard did burn on it so they fixed it and now it's working fine. :D

  • When I got my Xbox 360 last year for Xmas, it was freezing up on me and can't figure out why. Then I brought that up to a co-worker and said to do the same thing u said and it worx a lot better now. I even installed the add on cooling fan too. I prolly just didn't pay attention to that vent on the side. :O

  • well thats good to know me and my brother have a xbox 360 and we have allweys had it on the side but the built-in dvd player have stop working so we need to get it repaird

  • It never once came into my mind to turn it sideways

lol the whole damn side of the thing is a big ass vent

  • yup, heat is no good for electronics :)

  • Good theory there. Good thing I keep my 360 on it's side. =)

  • Lol, great book title.

  • LOL ok guess I'll have to remember that!
