  • Saw this performance and overall it was IMPRESSIVE .... but would agree with the opinion that it would have been more "beautiful and romantic" if the tempo was a bit slower and more deliberate.... it is a bit too rushed for me.

  • Incredible talent and virtuosity. However, the tempo is way too fast (I've heard this piece performed many times, but never at this speed.) I get the impression the overambitious tempo was to showcase Ms Licad's lightening-fast fingers, but to me it loses a lot of the beauty of the concerto.
