You've got it backwards. The HHO INCREASES the flame-front speed so you can RETARD the timing.

@LeeHazleton Yes it does increase the flame front velocity in theory but the water vapour, the useful part and far more plentiful in terms of combustion effects increases power and allows the opposite.

Absorbing the flame heat while increasing its volumetric efficiency allows you to run the car lean because the exhaust valve is cooler. Win-win!

yep what is not right is your too concerned with cell efficiency. This is also running the cell COLD. The cell isn't running at prime water temp of 176 F from startup. LOL
