When burning out man, don't sit on the bike. Lean on your bars to keep the weight in front and grip those front brakes as hard as you can. It looked like a first try. It's a simple thing but a lot of people crash their bikes cause hey pussy out in the end and get all weak w/ proper weight and brake control. Nice run though.
dude, I'm telling you.... I ABUSED that motorcycle and it never had a problem. the guy I sold it to is my neighbor and I see the bike all over and it's still thumping along. thats a Suzuki for you.....
I'm know it, man, I'm a huge Suzuki fan.... I'm thinking a Bandit 1250 might be the way to go. When, I buy another bike, maybe a GSXR750, or SV1000... We'll see..
Of course, you're right... the SV650, with no fairing at all is about $6000 where I live so that's a possibility. I like the Bandit because it has a tall fairing and an inline 4. What other bikes besides the SV do you own or like?
I've had a Honda Nighthawk 650, Yamaha V-Star 650, Suzuki SV650 and now a Suzuki SV1000S. I prefer a V-twin to an I-four because of the low-end torque. The SV1000S is the least comfortable but has the best engine. What type of riding do you plan on doing the most of?
Probably the kind of riding that requires a comfy bike. This isn't supposed to be a dumb question, but how much MORE do you like the SV1000? I don't know what the hell I want, they're all so damn good...
Yes, the with the production models the "S" is the "sportier" of the two. What I mean is that these standard bikes are sport inclined unlike some other "standard" style motorcycles that are heavier, not as flickable and definitely not as fun on the track. The Yamaha V-Max comes to mind.......
I know it looks like it, but I didn't almost loose it at the end. I let off the front brake a little abruptly and was jerked forward, but there was never a second of uncontrolled movement.
well you certainly did not panic which is admirable. i can't say if you intended to launch out of it the way you did or not, but what do i know. i wasn't there.
dude you should get rid of that tailight set up you got there and those front turn signals. not bad on the burnout looked like it almost got you there for a minute. How do you like the SV so far. I have the 01 650 and love it.
I sold this SV 3 years ago. the guy i sold it to took care of the turnsignals for you. i didn't almost loose it doing the burnout. SV's rock. my new ride is an SV1000S
Watch out... this guy will Ninja kick you in the neck, and then burnout on your head while you're on the ground.

Depends on what kind of riding you intend to do. A standard SV650 would still make me happy today.

saweet999 3 years ago 3
It's a naked sport inclined standard.
Nattybread 3 years ago
@saweet999 It's called "naked." The one with the front fairing is the SV650S, you want the naked SV650.
