can someone please explain EXACTLY how toughness works in this game? no guides have helped me understand completely. for example it says it would take....50 DPS away from damage taken. does this mean if you get hit with 60 points of damage hits every second, they would only be 10 damage every tick? please help :)

@sune1112 i had the same issue, the patcher starts downloading like it should and after a while it crashes

but if u take a closer look the patch size has shrinked, so you just keep on opening the patcher and eventually you'll be able to play Warhammer ;-)

for PVP, it's still all about survivability and that's lots of mitigation (armor class, resistances). corp->elem->spirit for dest. spirit->corp->elem for order. i've played just a bit in the last few months, but i think right now shaman are a bit weak (esp compared to archmage that went from underpowered to bizarrely OP)

for PVE, i'm not sure. don't have much experience with shaman/archmage.

Unless you wanna get 3 hit as a healer, you NEED toughness. Or else you don't get time to put in damage, and will only be spam healing yourself and eventually die .

Initiative is a good stat too id stack enough to get crits down to 10%

lol you dont need to drink/eat...either you dont know much about this game or you are doing that on purpose...All gear is class designed a Warrior Priest cant wear ANY thing that a Rune Priest would get. Weps, armor, etc. Its all designed for the Rune Priest so obviously toughness is a stat that rune priests should have if their armor has a good bit of it.

To be fair, not every piece of gear a RP can use looks like it was designed for a RP. Many items have WS on them... is that so a RP has better parry? What about Balistics? The itemization team either really screwed up or doesn't really care at all, it seems. But the game is still an absolute ball, and RPs kick ass!

Rune Priests need SOME toughness or they will get 1 hit by mDPS or rDPS.

Trust me, I have a 40/62 RP, so I know what i'm on about.

@Ciiwwii this was a video showing PVE vs non-instance mobs... in which case the toughness & armor was HUGE. i would go on to say that armor is huge in PVP too - toughness not so much. my pvp gear is much different though - you can look at my scenario video to see the difference. (armor is still quite high)

you'll be able to AOE even better w/ higher toughness. that's the most important stat for pve really. unless maybe you are just questing, and killing mobs one at a time (then perhaps intelligence so it's faster)..

Well, right now the best classes for healing would be DOK & WP. The best melee DPS classes are Choppa & Slayer. The best tank class is Ironbreaker. The best ranged damage classes are Bright Wizard, Engineer & Sorceror.

Yeah, the game should come with 30 days free in addition to the 10 days trial that you'd get if someone used refer a friend on it.

Hi i need your help i have got a friend and we are going to play warhammer together. But he wants to play some kind of a DPS or tank class and i want to support him as a healer, we are playing for the order but i dont know if i should go with runepriest or warrior priest. I dont want to be a warrior priest because there is too much of them and their heals are weak and they need to use that fury thing to heal which is anoying.

runepriest have great heals and they can do a lil bit of damage if needed and they are easy to level IMO but for tank he should go with an IB they are really good tanks.

Ugh, just got to my comments for the first time in a bit. But yours is only 8 hrs old, so I'll answer (although pbian is on the money about the IB).

As of *right now* a Warrior Priest + IB is the "god" combo. But WP is due for a nerf sometime in the near future, and RP is *supposedly* going to get buffed at some point after the next patch. Given how Mythic seems to overnerf or overbuff, I'd be a bit scared of starting a WP now. But, who knows, they've been great for over half a year..

The problem is Rune Priests don't exist in the Warhammer Fantasy game, so these have been totally made up to accomodate the healing class often seen in MMORPGs.

I never played Conan & only played (the release) of WoW for about 3 months.. I did play a priest but I remember Paladins being better healers.. =/ I guess they would be diff mainly in that Rune Priest/Archmages can't simply respec like a Priest in WoW to do massive damage (shadow spec)... they were supposedly designed to be able to dish the damage, but it really doesn't work like that (not yet anyway). Right now the game is stacked towards damage and you really can't keep up w/ it at all as a healer. It gets even worse as more ppl get +crit, since the healing crits will never stack up to an equal melee or magic crit value (randomly healing for a larger amount doesnt equate to randomly jacking someone). I like my rune priest but a lot of ppl are frustrated with healing in general. I'd recommend warrior priest right now, and stay away from archmage.. haha.. but a month from now...

Idk well ive played wow before and i had a 50 priest and i healed a lot on that but i mainly played my 70 hunter wich i got bored of after getting him the top pve and pvp gear so i might try the runepriest to try something different

healers in general are pretty frustrating to play (in warhammer). if you haven't played any healers in other mmo's you should probably skip rune priest/archmage. might try warrior priest.
