I just like to say I traveled to San Francisco in 2007 to start a new life and wound up homeless in the Golden Gate Park and yes I witnessed the trash and filth you could "only mention" but I also seen a huge family of homeless people some good some bad just like humanity! Not every homeless person in the park is a trashy alcoholic drug user!!! be for real put down the camera if you don't see the beauty in life whether you be homeless or not......PEACE blah blah blah!
Yeah, the Bay Area is on e of the few places in the world IDEAL for people who want to sink to the lowest level of responsibility yet stay alive and high for a while yet. It never gets too cold here and the people LOVE to give their money away! It's crazy, I couldn't believe it at first when I first moved here. Mostly the bums deserve no sympathy - if some guy my age decided one day he didn't want to work or pay bills and he was happy living under a tree, good for him. But dont expect my money
The cops won't do anything because these bums are so filthy, carry bugs, and smell so bad, they don't want to touch them, or put them in their squad cars. they really ruin San fran. If there was a way to rid the city of them, it would be a vast improvement! I've seen them shooting up all over town, not just the TL. They are rude and belligerent, and you want to pop them a goood one, but it would gross you out to touch one. Many are mental patients.
I wish my godfucking city too was a "thug city", with homeless transients littering the parks and highways, with dealers at every stop and convenience store and corner, with goddamn whores on the Avenues, with trashed humanity littered all over the godfucking city!!!

seriously, guys. people will be people. The homeless community has been a fact of life for the entire duration of history. Living in the park and using drugs is hurting no one but them. And a lot of them aren't 'using' or drinking.

The blatantly obvious chilling-out under the trees, in plain view of parkgoers, the litter and trash and filth....while I have no problem with them being there if they want to be reasonable in their cleanliness and their behavior, this is just plain unacceptable.
ok thats nice...now can we DO SOMETHING about it instead of just bitch? perhaps come up with a solution that involves getting these people jobs and housing? rehab for the druggies? not just fines and a clear out order, fix the societal problems that lead to this.
