continued..Is this standard procedure??..Can a doctor use a blood pressure machine to draw my blood??..He had it sooo tight..not exaggerating..more than like 5 minutes..I felt dizzy...arm fell asleep...fingers crossing..Can he keep it there the entire time he took out the blood..fingers stuck in weird positions..Also, can they use the vein on my wrist..Very painful...I cried so much..he was able to get the blood..I feel traumatized..Anyone had this happen to them??..

Ok I need someone to help me..My doctor(Specialist) couldn't feel a vein..He first used the rubber strap around my arm..He removed it..then he used a blood pressure machine on my arm..He had it very tight on my arm..Then he started to draw blood..my arm felt like the circulation was being cut off..hand felt like needles stabbing me..most painful experience ever..he couldn't get enough blood..then he said ok lets use your other arm..Then he said Im going to use the vein on your wrist..I cried!!

Yeah i hate needles. First time i went to get blood drawn i went into the bathroom and cried and refused to come out. I still tense up but its the littlest pinch and its painful for like half a second. But the lady that took my blood pulled the needle out too fast at the end and THAT hurt lol

I had one today and it did not hurt. I even watched the technician put the needle in and draw the blood. All I felt was a small pinch as the needle went in and some pressure as the blood was being drawn. The entire process took about 1 minute.

lol needles dont hurt, the people at the lab where i live know me and dont even bother asking me to look away when they stick the needle in cuz most of the girls my age that go there pass out at the sight of a needle or blood, but i just laugh and talk to them cuz i have to get 5 or 6 vials taken a month :) oh and i dont even get a butterfly needle :(
