  • lmao this dura-test is bull shlt. Perfect conditions. That turbo was cookin HAHA!!

Ill stick with my large displacement 5.7 sport hemi. FORD = RICER

MIKE ROW YOUR AN IDIOT MAN, STICK WITH DIRTY JOBS YOU SUCK AT COMMERCIALS.

  • why did they use the sound of their 6.2,or any v8 for that matter, on every shot? I've heard the ecoboost at wot, it sounds nothing like a v8, and since they're braging about it being a v6....?

  • GM biased Toolbags out there, this same motor with honeywell turbos in the taurus sho is outrunning your prized Camaro SS stock, funny a Ford grocery getter smoking dat ass.

  • I start a new job this summer 65k and I nagotioated this truck as a sign on bonus plus no living expenses, i was offered the Raptor and turn it down (way to much truck for me) this 4door ecoboost is more than I can ask for in white fully loaded.. Down side involves moving from FL to LA and away from my freids & family and ofcourse my kids which are my everything...fuckin life I tell ya wil see how it goes a lot can still change!! This will be my 1st truck and it's FORD 150!

  • what would make this better is if they did this same test for chevy and dodge

  • So FORD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • lol its funny how all the guys here diss ford and say chevy is wayy better. umm so if Chevy is so much better, why did they do bankrupt and almost shut down and nothing happened to ford at all?? yah thats what I thought.

  • im surprised that the trailer could last that long!, probably made by ford as well

  • never mind the engine, how about that tranny...

  • "at full boost."

    "FULL BOOST."

  • @bobbybob3680 which is from lDLE to 5200 RPM. The effective range plus some that the mated transmission/final drive operates at. So while it generates about 35 less Hp peak rating than the comparable V8s, it generates it's slightly less PEAK output from stem to stern.

  • I have a 2011 fx4. But even i have to admit chevy has the fastest truck made right now, with there 6.2l. Ive seen a brand new 6.2l chevy run 14.2 in the 1/4 with only 200miles on the enjine, and with 3.43s. Bone stock. Thats impressive. Just thought i would shut up some of us ford fans. But my fx4 is way nicer than any chevy

  • @Mctsep You didnt see the video were they race aginst a Chevy and Dodge truck and they get there ass handed to them

  • @jvc11207 that was a 5.3 they put it up against, not a 6.2, they didnt put it up against GMs 6.2 V8 cuz they know it would have spit the ford outta the tail pipe

  • @Chevyboy5700 Okay my bad, Then they can put the GM 6.2 v8 against the Ford Raptor instead

  • @Chevyboy5700 gm sucks ass

  • @AdverbAdjective let me hook mine up and rip ur driveshaft right out of ur little ricer and will see whos better then

  • @Chevyboy5700 lol good luck trying to hook up to anything with that piece of shit gm, sorry my Ford isn't only faster, but out hauls that weak shit every day

  • @AdverbAdjective your bitch ass wouldnt be saying that when u have to explain u got ur chassis ripped out by a chevy, get a real truck

  • @Chevyboy5700 you are failing to realize with your biased GM brainwashed noggin that this ford is a 3.5 L so even vs a 5.3 L v8 that is impressive, almost 2 liters of displacement more, what is its excuse. Oh no replacement for displacement hey, tool.

  • what was the MPG?

  • is this real or just a bunch of ford propaganda? the guy from the commercial is here and everything.

  • @creamyfilling102 That isn't just a random commercial guy. His name is Mike Rowe, and trust me, he's NOT easy to get a hold of to use for a commercial.

  • @supersnot4 he's been in a lot of ford commercials lately

  • @creamyfilling102 Exactly

  • @creamyfilling102 hes not the guy from the commercial lol, hes the spokesperson for ford, thats why hes everywhere.

  • I'm not a real big fan of Ford, but this is why they didn't need a bailout. They are going against the grain of American car manufacturing, they are making something so bland and just brute power, into something efficient and worth making.

  • thats a good engine

  • this is my only exception to a gas powerd truck along wit hthe raptor

  • Too bad I couldn't put this engine in 96 explorer.......

  • i love engine, hate new trucks though.. too techy

  • i love my fords, but they are putting a boosted engine up against N/A engines...

  • i love when the chevy guys go ya, twin turbos, i wonder how long that will last.....i always refer them to this video....i have yet to have an additional comment.

  • being a chevy guy i think the new engines are a good start for ford but the ecoboost is hands down a badass engine no matter what

  • wonder what the average mpg was on this test? huh failed to mention that didn't they

  • @milder00 To answer your question, watch the Ecoboost Baha video.

  • @milder00 I would suspect that pulling 11000 lbs at full throttle, mpg wouldn't be very good, but it would still be better than it's competition.......

  • i cant wait for gm and dodge's response response to this

  • wow

  • how many times did they change the rear end and tranny?? lol

  • in a tug of war between my tacoma and my neighbors eco bost i kicked his ass he might beat me in gas mileage but the tacomas have better pulling and 4wd

  • @goop243 Ha ha try again.. Pulling power is weight and torque. That ecoboost has more torque than your pussy little ricemobile

  • i bought a 2010 f-150 with the 5.4 engine and now i am having buyers remorse over not waiting to get the ecoboost....dang !!

  • I am so confused now days. I don't know if I am a Ford man or Chevy man. :/ I will keep in the middle and still like the others while I am at it like Dodge. There we go, I am FCD! FCD 4LIFE!

  • i like seeing how everyone is trying rationlize this by saying oh its an aluminum trailer and its wide open nascar track, it doesnt matter if the trailer is plastic it still weighs in at 11,300 pounds and they werent just driving 55-60, they said wide open throttle averaging over 80 miles an hour, love it! haha

  • If The F-150 can do its current max load easily, then why isnt its max load higher, is it because the leaf springs bottom out?

  • Wow, when both your nascars's break down, I guess your gonna have to tow them across the line! Hell, you might even win with that truck!

  • The video is great except for the real world. If you hook up the maximum load you will be towing an illegal load. The G.V.W.R does not allow you to legally tow this load. Don't get it wrong the truck can do it, you just can't do it legally. Ford needs to up the legal G.V.W.R past 7700lbs.

  • @dinomurf You need to do some research. Trailer weight is not considered a part of GVWR only the tongue weight is added. A properly loaded trailer will only apply 10% of the trailers weight to the truck's suspension. So for this trailer weighing 11,300lbs that would be 1,130 lbs, added to its 5500lb curb weight it is still well within the legal limits of the truck.

  • i still get goosebumps watching this, i really don't see what you could argue about i would gladly let any chevy guy try this and hell the dodge guys don't even get on here cause they know they're way out of the game

  • Comment removed

  • I used to hate Ford ever since I was a kid. Never was a Chevy or Dodge fan but I always hated Ford. With what Ford has been doing here recently it really impresses me. When it comes to Ford,Chevy, Dodge. ITS really FORD,Chevy, dodge.

  • They fail to mention that the cars are in perfect blanace. Also they are towed on an aluminum trailer, which puts hardly any tongue weight on the truck. An aluminum trailer also is proven to have less drag. Also, heavy towing situations aren't wide open on a Nascar track. They are through city stop and go situations, interstate, and highway situations. Lets see a transmission test with that format, then well talk about torture.

  • great truck now lets see wat kinda stupid remarks chevy guys will have to argue about now lol theyll have none......

  • @MUSTANGGT1365 they can argue about the powertrain warranty

  • @11one22dontcry very true lol bt thats all i hear yet F series truck are hardly ever in shops its always chevys its prolly cuz chevys need warranty till 100k cuz theyll break down before tht my 98 f150 220k and no problem till today

  • @11one22dontcry i would void my warranty the first day

  • @MUSTANGGT1365 don't get ahead of yourself peckerwood - its all movie magic, rock music, and false scenes spliced together - it aint nothing new - its just typical american

go buy one and then do those same tests =D also chevy sucks just as much so argue this

  • @kcuskcid0 I'm going to assume that you're European, and if that is the case, then you argument is invalid, based on the fact that you will never understand and love pic ups like we do. However, I will say, you do make a good point. Automotive tech doesn't change that much, its just repackaged and resold to a new audience.

  • @MUSTANGGT1365

Chevy will get the job done just the same and be about 3 or 4 grand cheaper.

    Just saying...

  • @dragracer3 i dont think fucked on race day spells out chevy. Wait til 2013. Youll see what i meen

  • Sounds like the old 5.4. motor...

  • Just a thought on these videos, anyone else notice they added V8 sounds in post when the EB is running? Presumably to make the EcoBoost sound tougher.

  • @ThirdGenerationDGAF

Oh wait, try Fucked On Race Day. Fanboy

  • 20 people work for Dodge or Toyota

  • @jebrado1995 probably more than that, just a bunch of trools lurking here.

  • who ever drovde that shit must be bored haha

  • FORD = Found On Road De-

    Oh wait.

FORD = First On Race Day

    Yeah that's the right version.

  • @ThirdGenerationDGAF

    Fix

    Or

    Repair

    Daily

  • @cubamexico5567 That's clever, never heard that one before.

  • I don't think the Ford should be praised in this test...it should be the guy who drove for 24 hours.

  • they should put twins on the 5.0

  • @xxDarkxxReaperxx They are its called the road runner prototype after the name of the 5.0 is coyote.

  • @GoGoggansGo I bet it's a beast. The name sounds very appropriate. lol

  • these are so badass

  • By the government; or the bank in my explanation.

  • @adioo890 sure, say I was in debt and instead of going to the bank for a loan, I went to my friends and borrowed money from them. Ford was bailed out by other companies; not the government. And for more money than GM was bailed out by the g

  • ok. when it took off, why does it sound like a V8? and dont give me the bullshit that it was the V6 because i know the difference.

  • Slapping Pistions and Droping Trannys sucks to be the competition.

  • that truck with a 6 speed stick would kick soooo much ass

  • i get mine tomorrow

  • chevy v6 and dodge v6 can't do that !!! no fuckin way!!!! only a ford twin turbo v6 can do it !!!!! it has 420 FPT and 365 HP conpare that to v6 chevy and v6 dodge. hahaha it 3.5L doing more as a 5.7hemi and more than 5.3 chevy it like wake-up ford is taking over the truck industry !!! yes sir :)

  • @454541030 the ecoboost is twin turbo. do you know anything about turbos??????

qhat happens if you put a turbo on the V* it will raped the little ecoboost. know your shit

  • I'd bet, a Chevy or, a Dodge truck(any engine)can do this! ;-)

  • NOw just get it to run off of hydrogen.

  • Ford isn't fucking around this year. Lol. Good.

  • @zomgwtfbbqbagel lolol no no they are not!

  • i wanna see how much abuse their transmission can take

  • @1999z71silverado Same.

  • @zomgwtfbbqbagel the engine is impressive. but they used two transmissions didnt they?

  • @1999z71silverado I heard that too, but Car and Driver has stated otherwise when they talked to Allen Mulaly at the Detroit Auto Show (he is the head of development at Ford I think)

  • notice how the leader car in the end of this video was also a ford.

  • Full BOOST, FULL BOOST!!!!!!

  • yeah cause I drive from -20 to +100 in minutes and I to a lot of logging and skidding. I don't want to use a skid-steer I wanna use my brand new pickup truck.

I always race on the track pulling a trailer for 24 hours straight. Me and my chev and dodge buddies are always racing in the desert pulling trailers on weekends and I need a 4.3 second victory over them. this is the truck i need!

reminds me of the kirby vacuum salesman the vacuums up bullets (fake ones) and sticks it on ceiling

  • @Voter10142009 Wouldn't those temperatures happen during a cold start?

maybe as a Plow or a tow truck wouldn't the logging scenario be similar?

also in emergency situations such as blizzards when the plows have to work over time to clear the streets, although they wouldn't be pulling full load at 80mph they would still be running overtime

but idn i just thought that's what the tests represented i am just a silly 10 yr old behind a keyboard enlighten me?

  • @Voter10142009 Don't buy it then smart ass.

  • Is it diesel or petrol?

  • @phantomf41 gas/petrol

  • @phantomf41 gas (petrol) :)

  • I THINK CHEVY AND DODGE ARE NERVOUS

  • For Epic Burnouts And More

    epicburnout(.com)

  • 3.5 v6 turbo wasting 2 v8's? thats impressive

  • OMG 1,600 MILES OF DRIVING IN A CIRCLE KILL ME!!!

  • Simply The Best/

  • perfect. Ford rules. no bailout. already making like 4 new motors, surpassing the competition. Thats all i can say. Perfect.

  • @adioo890 well said

  • @adioo890 ford was bailed out, by independent companies not the government and for more money than GM... just syain

  • @JHAV86 please explain.

  • this is sorta crazy, but awesome that ford is doing this,

  • wtf! he said turbos.. what kind of a truck has turbos. to hell with ford and its turbos, they suck cause you have to waitfor it to spool and build boost... extra lame

  • @CheifSmokemLots Almost every modern diesel out there. Such as Cummins.

Thats why ford selected a duel turbo set up a smaller turbo for low end RPM and a larger one as the revs pick up thus you don't have to wait for power. Drive a Taurus SHO or any other Ford with an EcoBoost. As soon as I did I was sold. You will find very little if any turbo lag.

  • @Roushfan5 i knew the diesels did cause for the longest time they wouldnt generate enough power to move themselves let alone tow something with out the turbo. just seems funny to put turbos on a v8 truck lol :S

  • RansomCowboy You are Dumb. the new dodge ram 1500 truck is a pile of crap and a rollover waiting to happen. the rear suspension is a a twin coil link style and that is the same as a twin I-Beam suspension. And that makes it more likely to roll over because of poor center of gravity. especially when you use latter racks or a slide in camper shell. the only thing good about dodge is cummins Diesel and that a fine line at that.6.7commins350hp 650lb-ft TQ6.7powerstrokediesel 400 hp 800 lb-ft TQ.

  • You forgot one more thing Dodge leads the pack in...Powertrain failures and general unreliability. Looks good on paper until you're stuck on the side of the road waiting for the tow truck.

  • you guys are pissed bc ford finally turned the page and is now on top the 2010 and 11s will do just as this video has said i own one and i came out of dodges for years, my family was a chevy family and i went to dodge and now im in my new f-150 and i wouldnt trade it for anything.

  • what was the fuel milage?

  • @brandondean15 2 mpg

  • every F-150 is built in the USA. KC or Detroit.

  • powered by the souls of 8 orphans

  • Hey type this in the search bar and watch.

    'experts dissect f150'

  • In "the real world" a truck will do maybe 100k miles of shopping trips and school runs. All I want is for this truck to be able to do heavy-haulage after it's done that and depreciated to maybe $4000.

  • Btw Ford. Please put the same engine in an E-series van. It would fly off lots in no time. I need to replace my shitty Dodge Van soon.

  • I don't believe this shit. They must have had some mechanical problems but obviously would not say. Especially that turbo. This is a ford commercial.

  • Get out of my Stumbles!

  • Dang

  • i want one. this renews my faith as a ford person.

  • It needs to suffer some hot to cold hell next, just to really test its toughness that little extra, in fact a trip to cyberia that's a bloody good test. Good Effort though Ford are a dependable company when i think back over the years.

  • blah blah blah blah, there will be something better in a few weeks, and after that, something better than that, and so on. why can't they make one thing right, just once, a product that is good and lasts, they've never been able to do that, show's how great these companies are at making trash and getting people to think it's gold.

  • @CrippledNasty You should see that crap I put my '08 4.6L F-150 through. It's still running strong. Same with my '07 5.4L F-150, my '89 5.0L F-250, and my '87 7.5L F-250. Tell me Ford isn't building something right. I think this video just proves it.

  • @CrippledNasty Really? My F150 with 276k miles on it that I bought new in 1999 was built pretty well...

  • Congratulations Ford. Your 2011 engine beats Chevys 2007 engine. Sooooo impressive. *sarcasm*

  • big, american, pointless, car/truck...ore what ever that is

  • @bogdanbO lets see your little piss ass foriegn car haul 2 fullsize cars or anything larger than your fat girlfriend to the next burger joint

  • @moonerdizzle lets see your piss ass douche mobile truck keep up with my bmw. Seriously, when the fuck do you ever need to haul 2 full sized cars...

  • @icefire89 i own a vehicle repair shop, so i haul cars quit often. and i know for a fact ur BMW, as nice as it may be, can not haul a true camaro. or anything else other than you and your fat girly friend

  • @icefire89 Some people actually have to work for a living ass hole.

  • @icefire89 Ill race your bimmer with my truck. Guarantee Ill win.

  • @benchn280 I'm a truck fan, but these videos are so stupid. They prove nothing. My VW could easily pull those logs in the previous episode. And besides that,WHO CARES if a truck can get up a hill faster than another one, ITS A TRUCK,ITS NOT MEANT TO RACE! It's who gets up the hill with the least fuel consumption/lowest temperatures etc. And besides, that BMW could still do it! And what kind of truck do you have that can beat a BMW? Please, god, dont say a diesel, cause then your really an idiot

  • @snowrider440 Your VW prob couldnt get the traction to pull those logs in the dirt, on the pavement yes it could. But it would do so very slowly and would be very hard on your tranny. And the point of these videos is to convince Joe Blow that a V6 can do what most people only think V8s are cut out for, not to make you think that this is the only vehicle could possibly do this. And I have an 02 F150. I never mentioned the specifics of the race.

  • @snowrider440 Also that BMW might be able to pull this trailer around but would do so very slowly, would consume a massive amount of fuel and doing so for 24 hours would likely ruin the tranny

  • @icefire89 YES!!! SERIOUSLY!!! About freakin time someone has some sense! I'm a truck fan, but these videos are so stupid. They dont prove anything. Your BMW could tow that trailer anyway, and my VW could easily pull those logs in the previous episode. And besides that, WHO CARES if a truck can get up a hill faster than another one, ITS A TRUCK, ITS NOT MEANT TO RACE!! It's who gets up the hill with the least fuel consumption/lowest temperatures etc. And besides, that BMW could still do it!

  • @RansomCowboy u must be an idiot. dodges suck they always have and always will fall apart

  • @4ord4life Is that why Dodge do the most awards of 2009-2010? Ford suck....so do you.

  • @RansomCowboy

2009 Motor Trend Truck of the Year = 2009 F-150 (beat out the RAM 1500)

2010 Motor Trend Truck of the Year = 2010 RAM HD (NOTE: They were the ONLY new truck that year up for the award in that category. So they win by default...and it means nothing by default).

2011 will most likely be a great year for good old Ford.

  • @charliefactory48 Is Ford the best, not just in your opinion, but do you also go by Motor Trend?

  • @RansomCowboy Motor Trend says the F-150 is the best. As for the Ram Heavy Duty, it won by default, because it was the ONLY new heavy duty. Ford also sells quite a bit more than Dodge and GM, and didn't need a bailout as a result. so, why was it that Dodge is better?

  • @RansomCowboy I buy the product, put 200,000 + miles on it, and judge based on what it did for me. I can't have second- or third-best with my business. Ford trucks have made the difference for me.

  • @RansomCowboy motor trend is bull shit .. they review pickups as if its like the owners of them drive them to the office everyday, thats why they always pick Dodge for that the Hemi..its tests like these and user reviews that show Ford owns the pickup industry

  • @RansomCowboy ODGE IS THE WORST FUCKIN FAGGOT BAILOUT COCK SUCKING DOUCHE

  • @RansomCowboy DODGE USES 300C SPRINGS IN THEIR TRUCK. FAIL

  • @RansomCowboy THOSE MAGS ONLY SAID IT WAS GOOD BECAUSE IT WAS MORE COMFORTABLE. 300C SPRINGS, CAR SPRINGS. OLD 5 SPD, FAKE HEMI, BAILOUT. THEY ALSO THREW ON A MUSTANG DESIGN ON IT.

  • @RansomCowboy NOW GTFO TROLL

  • @RansomCowboy ford all the way

  • @TheBuckeyefan17 To the ground before 100,000 miles...I agree....

  • @RansomCowboy I don't mind the Dodge Ram 1500 truck. It was my close second choice when I bought my 2010 F-150 FX4. You're right that magazines have a different perspective. But I think what really counts are what consumers have to say. And the message they've sent is that F-150 has been the top-seller in the last 35 years. That's the true litmus test. I'd put the Ram 1500 close second to the F-150 and Silverado a very distant third.

  • @charliefactory48 Point was, Toyota, Dodge, Chevy, and Nissan have one Truck of the year before....So if they don't count, then this does not ether. I have never had luck with the two Fords I had. One was a 1998, and the newer one was, and I say was because it was a 2004 F150 before it burned down to the ground, and Ford did nothing to pay back on the truck that only had 29,000 miles on it. I have since had a Dodge Ram 2006 Mega Cab and a 5.7L Hemi,202,000 later, and she is still running strong.

  • @RansomCowboy i say let the consumers say what's best. and they have. for thirty years in a row. what's best? the Ford F-150

  • @KingofComputing With the cheapest truck, and and a dieing economy. Its no wonder why, but I don't think that we should be counting all the state bought trucks. The stats buy Ford with the Tax dollar. As far as a "public" favorite...Chevy is the best selling truck, then Dodge..then Ford. If you take away all the state funded Fords, you would be un happy in their truck sales.

  • @RansomCowboy I've driven them all, own 2 old Fords, and drive 2 new Fords every day. Dodge definitely has nothing on Ford, especially now.

there is a reason they had to get bailed out.

  • @RansomCowboy yeah maybe but I don't want to replace any transmissions so I stay away from dodges

  • @RansomCowboy Dodge may be the "best" but they most defently have the roughest ride. My boss has a 06 chevy 2500 and a 07 dodge 2500. We drive to places out of town to work and I can't sleep in the dodge because its to rough but i can sleep in the chevy.

  • @RansomCowboy All my family members who hard dodge and ford say ford is better and dodge sucks.

  • i doubt you'd change your tires every 1600 miles in real life.... useless testing. I'm sure it'll be used in some half wit discussion over the beer cooler this weekend as traders blow the horn on their truck being the ultimate.

  • that was weird. I've got some better vids in my channel, they are so naughty

  • MPG?

  • yeah
