Nothing has come close to this show.

There's nothing like it before or since.

Part of the reason why the show had so many fans was because it stretched over so many ganres,so many aspects.

Drama,Action,Adventure,Sci-fi,­Comedy,Fantasy,and possibly a bit of horror.Like - Girls Just Wanna Have Fun

The reason people stayed was because of Xena and Gabrielle's relationship.

But the genres they used were mangificent.

I correct myself and agree with everyone else in this commentary: the best TWO episodes of the series.

And I thank everyone who made it what it was. It was something extraordinary (for me at least) to see on mainstream, network, prime-time, American, Saturday night tv. So romantic, cinematic and gorgeous. Nothing has since replaced it.

Awesome. The Dept 1 and 2 are one of my top favorite Xena episodes. I love it when Lucy takes a break from those typical Xena roles and takes on more amazing roles on the show. Lucy always shines.

you know, in every commentry i've seen, lucy lawless never has any idea what happened, what characters did or their history, she really must have a bad memory or just not care...

I think to Lucy this was just her job (which it was), i'm sure unlike us fans, she's probably never seen most of the episodes more than once. Then probably shooting different versions of one scene mixed in with many many hours of other small things, actions, close-ups, fight scenes, blah blah blah... it can jumble the mind i'm sure.

I disagree with the "just a job" theory. She's come up with some in depth stuff to say about the show. Had it been "just a job" to her, we wouldn't be as devoted to XWP as we are. Keep in mind that most of the commentaries were shot years after the show ended, but like you said, she prob hasn't seen all the eps finished. Ren does seem more up to speed. I don't think it meant any less to LL than to ROC. Maybe ROC's just better at remembering stuff.

I agree. Like on some commentaries Luce will say that she wishes she played certain scenes differently. She wouldn't say that if she didn't care about the show or the characters. She does remember alot of stuff, but its like she remembers more about the people who worked there, than little bits of trivia about the show. Watch the Bitter Suite commentary, she remembers more than Ren does. I think Luce just has a bad memory..
