I understand your position on the emomtional componant of diabetes, but as a type 1 diabetic for more than ten years, and one who has experience multitudenous levels of control, I want to share my perspective. Firstly, you should know that I come from a viewpoint or better yet, a knowing, that type 1 is curable. I believe that diabetes is a result of a psychological problem which manifests itself physically. Our diabetes is a sign that something else needs to be solved emotionally.Your thoughts?
@deatune I've been diabetic since I was 8 years old. Do you really think that at 8 year olds, where I was happy and carefree that I had thatbad of a psychological problem, which caused me to have to dramatically grow up and start sticking a needle into myself? It made me feel sick to read what you wrote, diabetes is serious and you made it seem like a stupid thing to just disregard. I don't think I'll ever be able to forget what you wrote, you should be ashamed of yourself.
@Sophieetopia Hmm. Very dramatic. Look ... I am not alone in my opinion on this matter. In fact, there are very specific aspects of the language you've 'chosen' in your efforts to rebuke me that further support, dare I say strengthen, my philosophy on the 'true' cause of type I diabetes. If you're interested in knowing more, I would be happy to share. Best ~ K
@burton532 Don't you dare twist my words to suit your cause. There may be 'others' that believe the same as you do, but in case you didn't notice, no docter has even recognized it. I am not interested in 'knowing more'. I wish I had never read your comment because I do find myself remembering it at the worst possible times and everytime I do it makes me feel sick. So just stop.
wud know how ro get my Hb1ca down a lot more i excercise a lot of spend time with girlfriend an walk almost everywere but my hospitial say im poor controlling it and i dont know how to get it down.
Im hating it been two years tyoe one diabeties and i am on novorapid penfil injections i keep falling asleep. Or being too hihg at 13.0, Taking more and more insulin to bring me down. The emotion side of it is that i feel such a loser. But i got this from my grandfather i was healthy one time.
thank you for making me see there more people then me out there who are going through what i i am going through.
I keep falling asleep on it too! It's doing my head in. Had it 7 months. My weekends are a dead loss now, I just stay in and sleep, but if I do go out, I'm knackered for the next few days. I'm going to raise this at my diabetes specialist dr appointment in a couple of weeks. And request my short term memory back from wherever they put it the day they diagnosed me.
That was absolutely beautiful... so, SO true. It feels good to know that I'm not the only one who carries that guilt around inside me. I didn't even realize it was guilt until your video just now. It just stays with you, that little number, and it can get to you. It's amazing. We diabetics have so much to worry about, living day to day, that we forget about the feelins associated with it. Thank you!
