Yes, Xena was a spin off from Hercules. Well Hercules was a good show, but more people liked Xena more because she was a woman with a past and many people found her so much more interesting.

Hey, Mistriess, yeah, I started enjoying Hercules because it was tongue-in-cheek, kinda like "the Man from UNCLE", but I was in love with that dark little sister of Mars, she was so evil. You can't beat characters with an edge to their personalities. Never actually watched Xena, but I've always admired Lucy Lawless.
