im all for hydrogen fuel cells, but it only becomes "useful" when it can provide enough power to allow for big rigs, airplanes, and cargo ships to move from place to place without having to stop for fuel every 10 seconds. needs to perform just as well as oil imho

The campaign was decent and the Multi-player even though it takes getting used to it is the embodiment of true warfare. You sometimes don't see who kills you and unless you have the right equipment you can't take out vehicles and you're not invincible you are really human in this game and that's what makes it good.

they go away tooo fast
and you can clearly see a line between the smoke/explosion and the ground. thus makes it unrealistic

The energy crisis will hit us harder than any bomb could. There will be a worldwide crisis. The world will most likely become a living hell thanks to all the generations who JUST HAD TO HAVE THEIR FUCKING SUVS. And, my generation, the generation still in school will take the blunt of the impact. But one thing is certain. THERE WILL BE NO WAR OVER OIL. Its just not practical. M1-A2 Abrams tanks get 3 gallons to the mile. Think about it.

the peak-oil period will be between 2015-2020. Peak-oil is the point in time when the maximum rate of global petroleum production is reached, after which the rate of production enters its terminal decline. The world is approaching a practical limit to the number of barrels of crude oil that can be pumped every day. Other power sources would need to be implemented at least 20 years before peak-oil. And if we keep the current pace, we are surely NOT getting anything useful enough till 2015-2020.

Is this game worth getting? Sounds like it has a good storyline and the 64 person online sounds cool too. But don't know if I should get this or wait for GTA4.

This game had a lot of competition. It was following up after COD4 which dominated the game scene and still is. Nonetheless, this game seems interesting.

I know that Oil is going to be the most sought after substance soon but saying that this game has accurate time lines is possibly the most ridiculous thing i've heard today. "Black outs in the summer of 08"...yea right. As if the people will stand for that shit. This game makes it seem like civilians are idiots and the government is God. silly people who don't understand that oil is used for transport, not the eletric grid. 60-70% of powerplants in the u.s are coal based, there are tons of coal. We'll just see more alternatives for transport, more public trans, eletrification of the transport grid (electric cars and hybrids). The raw materials are no way close to running out.

what about all the petrol fertilizers and petrol chemicals? not to mention the best farmland in the world has been subjugated to sodium nitrates for about 50 years now. Leaving them completely sterile without yet more sodium nitrate... What about that huh? Have you ever seen a 10,000 acar grain farm? Do you know what that means??? We can only support about 2 billion people without oil. Maybe 4 billion if everything about our lives changes... and it will...

Well I remember advertising in the 90 of this electric car and it got into production and the producer revoked it and destroyed every model.

this isn't gping to happen for a looooooooooooooooooong time the only reason gas is so much is because the war that 'st where we usually get our oil and now they hate us so now we need to get oil from places that don't naturally have oil and at the pumps the jerks make it cost so much because we will pay for it
