Jim Varney made over 4,000 commercials as Ernest. Four thousand! That is unreal. What's even more unreal is that he had the ability to churn them out without making people grow sick and tired of seeing him. His commercials made me smile every time. He was a good actor, a funny comedian and a great human being. I know he's in a better place, but I do miss seeing him on my tv every day. Thanks for the many years of making me and countless others laugh. Varney, you are the best at what you did.

Jim always made clean movies but it was funny to see him get bleeped. Jim did Ford commercials. Mike Rowe does Ford commercials. Jim pretended to have ants in his pants and Mike really did have ants in his pants during the "Alligator Farmer' episode. There is a lot of similarity between these two. My aunt was a nurse at the doctors office that Jim used to go to before he died. He was a really intelligent man, and incredibly nice. His only gripe was how many people thought he was actually inept like his Ernest character, it didn't stop him from doing the character but he was actually extremely smart and well read.
